Mount of Olives: Gateway to Resurrection
“Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fighteth in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, so that there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” (Zechariah 14:4-5)
While Israel battles a horrific wave of Arab terror that has literally caused blood to flow in the streets, a lesser-known side of their jihad is going unseen: the Arab war against Jewish graves. Though less brutal than murder, Arab desecration of Jewish graves is a part of the same war that will not only establish whose land it is, but will also determine the nature of the coming Messiah.
One of the main targets for Arab vandalism is the Mount of Olives and the thousands of Jewish gravesites located there. Gravestones are destroyed and mourners are attacked on a daily basis, requiring special security details to accompany Jews who visit the site.
The Mount of Olives has messianic and religious significance in addition to being an ancient burial site. It is referred to in the book of Zechariah, when he prophesied that the mountain will play an essential part in the Messiah, splitting in two (14:4), with one half shifting south.
The Mount of Olives, adjacent to the Temple Mount, was an integral part of the Temple service. It was where the Para Adumah (red heifer), the major component needed for ritually purity, was burned. Any attack on the Jewish claim to the Temple Mount as part of their religious heritage would necessarily include an attack on the Mount of Olives.
As a site of Biblical significance, and because of its proximity to the Temple Mount, it has been used as a Jewish cemetery for over 3,000 years, and contains over 150,000 gravesites, including the tombs traditionally identified with the Biblical figures Zechariah, Absalom, Haggai, and Malachi.
Religious Jews have always preferred to be buried on the Mount of Olives, since it is the place where the resurrection of the dead will begin. According to the Jewish tradition, people buried outside of Israel will have to burrow through the ground to arrive at the Mount of Olives in order to be resurrected there.
Considered a holy site by international accords, it is protected by international law. Nonetheless, during the Jordanian occupation of East Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967, an estimated 38,000 gravestones were damaged. Four paved roads ran over hundreds of graves, and Jordan’s King Hussein permitted the construction of the Intercontinental Hotel on the mount, destroying some gravesites from the First Temple period. Gravestones were removed and used for paving stones, and some were taken for use as latrines in Jordanian army barracks.
There was a sharp increase in vandalism on the Mount of Olives last September, congruent with the increase in violence against Jews in the Old City. Some gravesites are specifically targeted for vandalism. The grave of the Gerrer Rebbe, former leader of the largest Hasidic sect in Israel, is frequently vandalized. In September, a few hundred meters from where the Muslims were rioting on the Temple Mount, the gravestone of Nathan Mileikowsky, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s grandfather, was destroyed.
An even stranger, more perplexing, phenomenon has appeared in this war on the dead. In 2011, it was discovered the Arabs had begun burying their dead adjacent to the Eastern Wall of the Temple Mount, in between centuries-old Jewish graves and the Temple Mount. Not only was this illegal and destructive to the archaeology of the site, it was, in effect, jumping to the front of the resurrection queue.
Even stranger was when authorities caught Arabs preparing fake Muslim graves at the site, graves which contained no human remains, an action that can only be an attempt to distance Jews from being buried in the spot where the resurrection will begin.
It has also been conjectured that this is an attempt to prevent a Jewish Kohen (priest) from ever performing the ritual of the Red Heifer, since he is forbidden for reasons of ritual purity from walking over a grave, and he must do so in order to bring the ashes of the Red Heifer to the Temple. This is a mistaken belief, since the remains of a non-Jew do not carry impurity.
Breaking Israel News asked Rabbi Pinchas Winston, an authority on the end of days, about this war on the dead. He affirmed that the Arab violence on the Mount of Olives is clearly part of a war against the Messiah. However, he believes that the vandals may not be aware of why they are acting in this illogical manner. Even if they make claims that they are fighting for nationalistic goals, they are part of a greater plan.
“The perpetrators do not have to know the spiritual significance of what they do or where they do it. Everything is orchestrated on higher levels, and the people who carry out the deeds, acting compulsively, only have to believe that the idea originates with them,” he explained.
“In fact, they are merely merely puppets, vehicles for the Divine will to be carried in order to communicate to the spiritually astute the direction history is going and the stage it is at,” added Winston. “Those who are aware of the ‘bigger picture’ know the greater significance of current historical events, and to prepare for what is destined to occur next.”

Open Letter to Ban Ki Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations | Tsvi Sadan ISRAEL TODAY
Open Letter to Ban Ki Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations
Thursday, January 28, 2016 | Tsvi Sadan ISRAEL TODAY
Dear Sir,
We in Israel think of you as descent and honorable man. This why so many were offended by your speech of January 26 in which, through historical shortsightedness, you were able to portray Israel as an immoral and oppressive country. To arrive at this negative position you had to use the one and only crutch you have – the occupation.
As the head of one of the most important institutions in the world you can ill afford misrepresenting terms and history for highly contested political ends. In resorting to this kind of demagoguery, sir, you are risking the loss of two components without which you can't fulfill your duty in good faith – credibility and trust.
I would like to draw attention to just one sentence from your unfortunate speech in which you spoke about "oppressed peoples [that] have demonstrated throughout the ages [that] it is human nature to react to occupation."
You off all people, sir, should know that already in 1920 the League of Nations, later to become the UN, recognized the right of the Jewish people to return to their ancient homeland. This recognition must surely assumes that any people other than Jews inhabiting what came to be known as "Palestine" are occupying a land not theirs. Non-Jews settling in Palestine during the times of Rome, Byzantine, Mamelukes, Ottoman and British took possession of a land which wasn't theirs. It goes without saying that "occupiers" is a term fitting those Arabic-speaking people who came here following the Muslim conquest.
At first the area envisioned to be the Jewish homeland included what today is Israel and Jordan. That, however, quickly changed. The League of Nations' resolution from 1922 sliced down the borders of the Jewish homeland to be from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River. The carving down of the Jewish homeland continued with the 1947 UN Partition Plan.
I remind you, sir, that the 1948 war wasn't over Gaza and the West Bank, but over Israel. I would also remind you that from 1948 to 1967 (after which Israel remarkably found herself back in the 1922 League of Nations borders), the idea of an occupied Palestine wasn't even conceived. Attacks against Israel were carried out from Egypt, Jordan and Syria not to free the occupied territories, but to regain Jaffa and Haifa. The PLO, sir, came into being in 1963 not to free Gaza, but to destroy a Jewish settlement called Tel Aviv. Yes, sir, one does not have to like Netanyahu to acknowledge this undeniable historical fact.
But you insist on the contrary, that Israel, through repossession of her ancient homeland, is destroying another people. Regretfully, in doing so you are rejuvenating the Muslims' hope of replacing Israel with an unheard of new Muslim state called Palestine. From this perspective, sir, your admirable effort to end the conflict seems not much different from the peace plans of Haj Amin el Husseini, Yasser Arafat, Ahmad Yassin and their successors.
What's even more distressing is what seems to be contempt for a country that in principle has agreed to give those dwelling in the West Bank something no one else has ever given them – a state of their own on a land they have been occupying for centuries.
And finally, since you will probably fall back on Resolution 242 to justify your position, I will have you remember that though you Israel's occupation illegal, the truth is that "illegal" is your interpretation of that resolution, an interpretation that is contested by Israel. Calling occupation "illegal" is to take a political position disguised as a legal position.
The resolution itself, which never once mentions the word Palestine or Palestinians, calls for Israel's withdrawal "from territories occupied in the recent [1967] conflict" in exchange for a just and lasting peace between the involved parties (Egypt, Jordan and Syria).
This resolution that has been subjected to endless debates has tragically done nothing but encourage vehement anti-Israel sentiments that are now turning to unabashed anti-Semitism.
Though I am sure you didn't intend it to be so understood, your speech added fuel to an ever growing flame that could only result in complete chaos. It is your duty, sir, to tell the world that Israel's willingness to give land for peace is a gesture of such magnitude that should not be carried out unless a lasting peace can be guaranteed by those whose perverted dream has brought upon them the life they now have.

The Rapture, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton And 50 Other Excuses People Use For Not Prepping - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE
Posted: 28 Jan 2016 Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE
Have you ever come away discouraged after trying to talk about prepping with friends or family members that just don’t seem to be interested? Over the years, I have heard countless excuses from people for why they aren’t getting prepared for what is about to happen to America. Some of the excuses, like a lack of money, are definitely legitimate. But in many other instances, the objections don’t seem to make a lot of sense. In America today, most people let others do most of their thinking for them. And in general, our political, religious and cultural leaders are telling Americans that there really is no reason to be overly concerned about the future. They assure us that they have everything under control, and that life is only going to get better in the years ahead. Bad beliefs lead to bad decisions which in turn lead to bad actions, and most Americans have chosen to believe what the elite are telling them at this point. As a result, only a small fraction of society is getting physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually prepared for the exceedingly hard times that are rapidly approaching. The following are 53 common excuses that people like to use for not prepping… 1. “Obama fixed everything that was wrong with America” 2. “When Hillary Clinton is elected she will put this nation back on the right track” 3. “Donald Trump will make America great again” 4. “I don’t have to prepare because the rapture is going to happen before anything really bad happens to this country” 5. “Everybody told me that the world was going to end in September and that didn’t happen” 6. “I don’t have enough money to buy emergency food and supplies” 7. “I’m too exhausted after working hard all day to do anything else” 8. “There is never enough time, and I would rather spend my precious free time doing something else” 9. “The U.S. economy is the greatest economy in the history of the world – there is no way that it could ever possibly collapse” 10. “Whenever we have had a major economic downturn in the past we have always recovered” 11. “Things are never going to get THAT bad” 12. “When things fall apart the federal government will take care of us” 13. “I am going to spend my extra money on fun rather than on fear” 14. “While you guys are sitting on stockpiles of expired food, I will be counting all of the money that I made in the stock market” 15. “When disaster strikes I will simply steal food from everyone else that has been prepping” 16. “The people at the Federal Reserve are very highly educated and they know precisely what they are doing” 17. “Wal-Mart will always be there when I need it” 18. “I’m too lazy to get prepared” 19. “Preppers don’t have a positive mental attitude” 20. “It is anti-faith to get prepared for an economic collapse” 21. “If the economy does collapse, I will just go on welfare” 22. “Nobody can get prepared for every possible scenario, so why bother?” 23. “I would rather save money for retirement” 24. “Obama told me that anyone that says the economy is heading for hard times is just peddling fiction” 25. “The stock market always rebounds to new highs after every crash, so why worry?” 26. “I don’t have room to store anything at my place” 27. “Prepping is something that crazy people do” 28. “I’m not a conspiracy theorist” 29. “I am afraid that all of the food that I store is going to go bad” 30. “All of the people that got freaked out about Y2K look really foolish right about now, don’t they?” 31. “Instead of being ultra-paranoid, I would rather just enjoy my life” 32. “If things get really bad, the people in my community will just band together to take care of everyone” 33. “If society did completely collapse, I would not want to go on living anyway” 34. “I’m too lazy to learn how to grow a garden” 35. “If you assume that the worst is eventually going to happen, then you don’t really believe in America” 36. “If something happens I will just run out to the store and grab what I need” 37. “If all of my debts are wiped out during an economic collapse I might as well live it up now” 38. “When things hit the fan I will just go live with my relatives that have been prepping” 39. “My spouse does not believe that prepping is a good idea” 40. “Prepping seems so complicated and I don’t know where to start” 41. “I don’t have to worry about preparing for a major disaster because that is what FEMA is for” 42. “There is no way that the supermarkets could ever possibly run out of food” 43. “Once I get my student loans and credit card debt paid off then maybe I will start thinking about prepping” 44. “My relatives are already convinced that I am a nutjob – I don’t need to make it worse by stockpiling buckets of food in my garage” 45. “What would the people at work think?” 46. “If there really was a reason to get prepared they would have told us about it on the news” 47. “People have been predicting doom and gloom for years, and yet nothing has happened” 48. “If I do prepare, angry mobs will just come and steal it all at some point anyway” 49. “Look at how fast technology is advancing – there is no way that things could completely fall apart now that humanity has so much advanced knowledge” 50. “We live in the greatest country on the entire planet during the greatest time for humanity in the history of the world” 51. “I have no intention of becoming a card carrying member of the Tin Foil Hat Brigade” 52. “If we are all going to die anyway, what is the point of prepping?” 53. “There is always more time – if I don’t get prepared today I can always get prepared tomorrow” If you would like to learn more about how you can get prepared for what is immediately ahead of us, you may want to check out an article that I recently did entitled “70 Tips That Will Help You Survive What Is Going To Happen To America“. It contains quite a few little “nuggets” that many people don’t commonly think about when it comes to prepping. Personally, I think that it would be very nice if normal life were to just continue indefinitely in America. That way I could just sit up on my mountain and enjoy a nice quiet life with my family. But the truth is that we are moving into the greatest time of chaos that any of us have ever experienced, and those of us that have been preparing are going to need to step forward as leaders. It is during times of great darkness that light is needed the most, and during the hard years ahead there is going to be a crying need for people that have great strength, great courage and great love. So do you have any excuses that you have heard that you think would make good additions to this list? Please feel free to share them with the rest of us by leaving a comment below… |

Obama Joins Israel Boycott, Labels West Bank Goods - BREITBART/Associated Press
Obama Joins Israel Boycott, Labels West Bank Goods
Jan. 28, 2016 BREITBART/Associated Press
In a step towards joining an Israel boycott, the U.S. is now requiring goods originating from the West Bank (also known as Judea and Samaria) to be labeled separately from products from the rest of Israel, following the European Union’s crackdown on products from the disputed territories.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection service, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has issued new mandates requiring that West Bank products not be marked “Israel,” citing a notice from the year 1997 that offers such instructions.
“The purpose of this message is to provide guidance to the trade community regarding the country of origin marking requirements for goods that are manufactured in the West Bank.”
According to the instructions, “It is not acceptable to mark” goods from the West Bank as having been from “Israel,” “Made in Israel,” or from “Occupied Territories-Israel.”
In its statement, U.S. Customs threatens, “goods that are erroneously marked as products of Israel will be subject to an enforcement action carried out by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.”
“Goods entering the United States must conform to the U.S. marking statute and regulations promulgated thereunder,” the statement adds.
Groups advocating “boycott, divestment, and sanctions” (BDS) against Israel have demanded separate labeling of Israeli goods from the West Bank and the Golan Heights as a step toward a total boycott of Israeli products.
Israel maintains that under international law, the West Bank is “disputed,” and not “occupied,” since there was no legitimate sovereign in the territory when Israel took control of it in self-defense after Jordan attacked Israel in 1967.
Many of the products that will be affected are made within areas of the West Bank, such as the Etzion bloc, are likely to be part of Israel under any peace agreement.
The new instructions were published by DHS over the weekend, following complaints from Palestinian and fringe leftist outfits that the U.S. was not complying with a 1995 law that calls for the marking of goods from the West Bank, Israel National News reports.
In November, the European Union mandated the labeling of Israeli products from the West Bank and the Golan Heights. Critics, including presidential candidates, have argued the labeling of products only from “Israeli areas” of the West Bank, and not Palestinian-controlled territories, is a discriminatory and anti-Semitic act.
The EU now refuses to allow the label “Made in Israel” on products made anywhere outside of the pre-1967 lines.
Following the implementation of EU labeling mandates, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the actions an “exceptional and discriminatory step.”
“This will not advance peace; it will certainly not advance truth and justice,” he added.
On Wednesday, to mark Holocaust Remembrance day, President Obama pledged to confront worldwide anti-Semitism:
“Here, tonight, we must confront the reality that around the world, anti-Semitism is on the rise. We cannot deny it,” he said from the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.
