This Is Hillary Clinton's Progressive Vision of Religious Freedom - JOHN P. WARREN CHARISMA NEWS

Hillary Clinton's Progressive Vision of Religious Freedom
JOHN P. WARREN  CHARISMA NEWS
The 2016 debates are history, and although nearly every topic was hammered to heaven, one was not broached at all: a First Amendment guarantee that makes us uniquely American.
Freedom of religion represents the proverbial canary in the coal mine and the evidence shows it may gasping. Let's take a look.
Hillary Clinton is a lifelong self-described Methodist, but her words and actions suggest that her belief in Almighty God also comes with a dedication to state power and willingness to restrict religious liberty. That is a threat from which our Founders sought to protect us when they spelled out the First Amendment to our Bill of Rights:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The difference between the language in the Constitution and language now used by President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton ought to be of interest to Americans who attend a church or synagogue. Gallup puts that number as high as 122 million (37 percent) weekly in 2015, while the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion put it as low as 72 million (22 percent) in 2005. High or low, freedom of religion is a right practiced regularly by a quarter to a third of our population.
Our heritage guarantees the free exercise of religion, but an attorney who worked on Zubik v. Burwell (more colloquially known as the Little Sisters of the Poor v. Obama) points out that since 2013, President Obama has used "freedom of worship" rather than the more traditional "freedom of religion" in his speeches. Hillary Clinton has adopted the same wording.
What's the big deal? The phrase "freedom of worship" is code for religious freedom within an enclosed, non-public space, such as a religious structure, residence or vehicle. Eventually, the progressive view could mean, for example, that roadside billboards advocating a pro-life stance might disappear. And so might our right to have religious symbols displayed upon our persons.
If you think I'm paranoid, think again. The 2016 Democratic Party platform says:
We support a progressive vision of religious freedom that respects pluralism and rejects the misuse of religion to discriminate.
Consider carefully the words "support a progressive vision of religious freedom ... and rejects the misuse of religion to discriminate." How can a political party support a "vision" other than the Constitutional freedom we are now guaranteed? What exactly is a progressive view of religion? What if a church declines to embrace the LGBTQ agenda? What will "Clintonians" do when they believe a religion is not sufficiently progressive or when they believe that Christians stand in violation of certain goals of the LGBTQ agenda? Would those Christians be judged to be misusing their religion to discriminate?
A large part of the answer appeared in a speech by candidate Clinton herself. In April 2015, at the Women's World Summit, she said, "Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated religious beliefs have to be changed." As a public or private position, that's scary. Match those words with her party's platform and think about our future, especially in religious denominations professing pro-life beliefs.
What's missing from the DNC platform, most notably, is the exception appearing in the 2012 platform, which "allowed physicians and other medical professionals to excuse themselves from performing or assisting in abortions if to do so would violate their religious beliefs" (according to the Religion News Service). That means, in the "progressive view of religious freedom" going forward, that a President Hillary Clinton would appoint judges who will reverse or water down the March 2016 victory in Zubik.
Even before the transformation of SCOTUS, Hillary Clinton would, like Barack Obama, act to change deep-seated beliefs by executive fiat (see the HHS mandate). Many of us justifiably fear that in Hillary Clinton's America, doctors and nurses could be forced to participate in partial-birth abortions and full-term abortions, even in religiously affiliated hospitals. She has certainly done nothing to convince us otherwise. So, in Hillary Clinton's America, belief in God would be in accord with subservience to the state.
Hillary Clinton is a candidate who has not had a presser in eons and has avoided journalists' questions like a plague. If real journalists would ask the right questions, might they be tempted to ask Mrs. Clinton to more fully explain her progressive view of religious freedom and what she means by the need to change deep-seated views?
I strongly object to those who trivialize my free exercise of religion, privately or publicly. And if Hillary and her progressive allies can narrow my religious practices, what will they do with free speech and the right to bear arms and other civil liberties enshrined in the Bill of Rights?
Will this election be like the Affordable Care Act, as infamously described by Nancy Pelosi? Will we elect Hillary Clinton and only then find out what's in it for us?

It Is Happening Again! Voting Machines Are Switching Votes From Donald Trump To Hillary Clinton - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

vote-with-check-mark-public-domain

Posted: 25 Oct 2016   Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Is the 2016 election in the process of being stolen?  Just a few weeks ago I issued a major alert warning that this exact sort of thing might happen.  Early voting has already begun in many states, and a number of voters in Texas are reporting that the voting machines switched their votes from Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton.  The odd thing is that none of the other choices were affected when these individuals attempted to vote for a straight Republican ticket.

If Hillary Clinton is declared the winner of the state of Texas on election night, a full investigation of these voting machines should be conducted, because there is no way that Donald Trump should lose that state.  I have said that it will be the greatest miracle in U.S. political history if Donald Trump wins this election, but without the state of Texas Donald Trump has exactly zero chance of winning.  So those living down in Texas need to keep reporting anything unusual that they see or hear when they go to vote.

Most Americans don’t realize this, but the exact same thing was happening during the last presidential election.  The state of Ohio was considered to be the key to Mitt Romney’s chances of winning in 2012, and right up to election day the Romney campaign actually believed that they were going to win the state.

Unfortunately for Romney, something funny was going on with the voting machines.  In a previous article, I included a quote from an Ohio voter that had her vote switched from Mitt Romney to Barack Obama three times
“I don’t know if it happened to anybody else or not, but this is the first time in all the years that we voted that this has ever happened to me,” said Marion, Ohio, voter Joan Stevens.
Stevens said that when she voted, it took her three tries before the machine accepted her choice to vote for Romney.
“I went to vote and I got right in the middle of Romney’s name,” Stevens told Fox News, saying that she was certain to put her finger directly on her choice for the White House.
She said that the first time she pushed “Romney,” the machine marked “Obama.”
So she pushed Romney again. Obama came up again. Then it happened a third time.
“Maybe you make a mistake once, but not three times,” she told Fox News.
And we did see some very, very strange numbers come out of certain areas of Ohio four years ago.

For example, there were more than 100 precincts in Cuyahoga County in which Barack Obama got at least 99 percent of the vote in 2012.

If that happened in just one precinct that would be odd enough.  But the odds of it happening in more than 100 precincts in just one county by random chance are so low that they aren’t even worth mentioning.

And of course this didn’t just happen in Ohio.  Similar things were happening all over the country.

The reason why I bring all of this up is to show that there is a pattern.  If a fair vote had been conducted, Romney may have indeed won in 2012, and now it appears that voting machines are being rigged again.

In Wichita County, Texas so many people were reporting that their votes were being switched from Trump to Clinton that it made the local newspaper
Shortly after early voting booths opened Monday in Wichita County, rumors swirled online about possible errors in the process. Several online posts claimed a friend or family member had attempted to vote straight party Republican ticket, but their presidential nomination was switched to the Democratic nominee, Hilary Clinton. None of the local reports were from people who experienced the situation first hand. A Bowie woman posted that a relative who lives in Arlington saw her votes “switched.” The post was shared more than 100,000 times Monday.
And Paul Joseph Watson has written about some specific individuals that are making allegations that their votes for president were switched by the machines.  One of the examples that he cited was a Facebook post by Lisa Houlette of Amarillo, Texas
Gary and I went to early vote today…I voted a straight Republican ticket and as I scrolled to submit my ballot I noticed that the Republican Straight ticket was highlighted, however, the clinton/kaine box was also highlighted! I tried to go back and change and could not get it to work. I asked for help from one of the workers and she couldn’t get it to go back either. It took a second election person to get the machine to where I could correct the vote to a straight ticket. Be careful and double check your selections before you cast your vote! Don’t hesitate to ask for help. I had to have help to get mine changed.
I don’t know about you, but major alarm bells went off in my head when I read that.
A similar incident was reported on Facebook by Shandy Clark of Arlington, Texas
Hey everyone, just a heads up! I had a family member that voted this morning and she voted straight Republican. She checked before she submitted and the vote had changed to Clinton! She reported it and made sure her vote was changed back. They commented that It had been happening. She is trying to get the word out and asked that we post and share. Just want everyone’s vote to be accurate and count. Check your vote before you submit!
And of course they weren’t the only ones reporting vote switching.  It turns out that lots of other Texans have also experienced this phenomenon

Why Prophetic Voices Say the Nation Shifted on Oct. 21 - STEVE REES CHARISMA NEWS

Why Prophetic Voices Say the Nation Shifted on Oct. 21

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Some prophetic voices believe the nation shifted, spiritually, Oct. 21, 2016, on what may go down as one of the most important days in American history.
Largely unnoticed, 1,000 Native American Indian tribes from the United States and Canada collectively forgave the U.S. government for breaking treaties with their ancestors during a public ceremony on the National Mall.
The National Day of Prayer for First Nations, held near the Washington Monument, included intercessory petitions, proclamations and declarations of forgiveness by leaders from All Tribes D.C., a fellowship of Christians representing 1,000 American Indians from the U.S. and Canada.
A full-blooded Euchee (Yuchi) Indian, Negiel Bigpond coordinated the first-ever national prayer gathering of Native Americans in the nation's capital.
Like the annual May observance of the National Day of Prayer, signed into law by President Harry S. Truman in 1952, First Nations intercessors will convene again in 2017 during the third week of October.
Dr. Billy Graham, whose son and daughter have served on the National Day of Prayer Task Force, is a prophetic voice who believes that forgiveness by Native Americans might be part of a spiritual awakening within the nation.
"The Native American has been a sleeping giant," Graham writes. "He is awakening. The original Americans could become the evangelists who will help win America for Christ. Remember the forgotten people."
Bigpond agrees that Native Americans have taken a good first step toward aiding national awakening by extending forgiveness to the nation.
"We chose to forgive the U.S., whether it asked for it or not," said Bigpond, a fourth-generation pastor who offered forgiveness and spoke blessings over the nation alongside other tribal prayer warriors.
Bigpond, who has evangelized on 143 reservations, believes the U.S. has suffered spiritual consequences for breaking treaties with Native Americans.
In Scripture, breaking a vow or treaty brings a curse on the land, and the U.S. government broke every treaty it made with the Native American tribes, according to prophetic voice Rick Joyner, who called the prayer event one of the most important in the nation's history from his ministry headquarters in North and South Carolina.
"This is very real," Joyner said. "National injustices are a major issue we're facing now, whether we want to or not, and this is a big one."
Bigpond is an apostle at Morning Star Evangelistic Center in Oklahoma, which is affiliated with Joyner's MorningStar Ministries.
The nation's crises parallel conditions on the reservations, according to Bigpond, a certified drug- and alcohol-abuse counselor.
"We don't want the nation or our people to suffer further," said Bigpond, who holds a doctorate in divinity and is a Euchee tribe chief.
Mary Faus, who represented the Ojibway and Cree tribes at the prayer event, said the unity and power of forgiving a nation that's never apologized or asked for it was amazing.
"We believe this has shifted the nation and we are already feeling the effects of what was accomplished in D.C.," said Faus, who is the director of a house of prayer in Pennsylvania and lead intercessor with husband Jon at Hope of Nations Christian Center.
Joyner agrees that forgiveness and love are major weapons in waging spiritual warfare on behalf of the nation.
"This is one of the most noble acts of true Christian charity I have ever heard of by any people group," Joyner said. "Very few may even know that anything special happened.
"Some of the greatest things happen that way, and only a very few who have their eyes open looking in the right direction, see them," Joyner said.
Portions of a proclamation posted on the All Tribes D.C. website were read by tribal leaders gathered on the National Mall.
The proclamation reads in part, "We forgive every atrocity and broken covenant ever designed to destroy us as a race of people. We break every curse and renounce every lie purposed to decimate us as human beings.
"We forgive the government, the church and the educational system for the use of residential schools that attempted to destroy our culture and silence our voice as people by stealing our language.
"We stand in the gap for those who are unable or unwilling to forgive, and call upon the Master of Life, to forgive us for harboring unforgiveness, resentment, hatred, bitterness and rage.
"We repent of every curse spoken over America by our ancestors and we release the power of forgiveness to bring healing and the peace of Creator God to this land.
"We declare and decree that our voice will no longer be silenced and that this nation and the world will hear our voice as we speak life and blessings over the Americas and the world.
"We stand in faith believing that our citizenship lies in heaven, and we too, all await the return of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Being all of one mind and heart, having compassion for one another, we declare our love as brothers; not returning evil for the evil perpetuated against us, but on the contrary we choose to release a blessing, knowing that the Father of us all has called us as his children to bless and not curse, that we may inherit a blessing. Amen."

Zion Oil & Gas Nears Drilling Phase in Northern Israel - Israel Today

Zion Oil & Gas Nears Drilling Phase in Northern Israel

Wednesday, October 26, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (NASDAQ GM: ZN) announced today that it has met and complied with two key conditions set by Israel’s Petroleum Commissioner, enabling it to move toward drilling its next deep oil well, about 40 kilometers (~25 miles) south of the Sea of Galilee, where the Jordan and Jezreel Valleys meet.
The State of Israel produces only a few thousand barrels of oil a day, which means it relies on the global market for more than 99 percent of its consumption. Zion Oil & Gas is committed to discovering a domestic supply of oil, which is a vitally important resource to ensure Israel’s strategic and financial security, and in so doing to bless the nation.
“We are excited to have successfully negotiated a drilling contract with DAFORA S.R.L. as well as completing and submitting our drilling engineering plan,” says Victor G. Carrillo, Zion’s CEO.  “Reaching these two milestones, combined with signing agreements with both Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu on whose property the drill pad will be situated, and the Israel Land Authority (ILA) to access and utilize the drill site, allows us to start drill pad construction soon.”
Zion’s oil well drilling contract is with S.C. Daflog S.R.L., the Israeli-registered entity of and related party of DAFORA, a Romanian company.
“Given that DAFORA has drilled over 1,000 wells in Romania, Eastern Europe and East Africa, we are confident they are the right partner for our Megiddo-Jezreel #1 well in Israel,” Zion’s President, Dustin Guinn, said. “Zion will use DAFORA’s F-400 drilling rig, currently stored in Israel, to drill to about 4,500 meters (~15,000 feet).”
“We plan to award the drill site construction contract as soon as our outside engineering firm finalizes our site plan to accommodate DAFORA’s F-400 rig,” said Mr. Carrillo. “Assuming no further weather or regulatory delays, drill site construction should begin in November and take no longer than about 60 days to finish.”
In preparation to drill, Zion has spent almost $1,000,000 on necessary well drilling equipment, including well casing, and long lead time items. The Company’s final step before spudding the well is to submit the drill site plan along with its application to drill to the government for final approval.
This all depends, however, on raising significant additional capital (which is by no means assured). In addition to their ongoing Direct Stock Purchase Program (DSPP), Zion is currently offering a public bond program with 12% annual return.
“We think this program offers a unique opportunity for interested investors to both move our drilling operations forward while also benefitting from a generous return,” Mr. Guinn describes. “We are facing a final date of October 31, 2016, for this current Bond Offering for those wanting to participate.”
Zion is dedicated to exploring for oil and gas onshore Israel. We are 100% focused on our Megiddo-Jezreel License, a large area of about 99,000 acres south of the Sea of Galilee.  Zion has been granted the exclusive right to explore in an area that appears to possess the key geologic ingredients of an active petroleum system with significant onshore exploration potential. We intend to start drilling our deep exploratory well, the Megiddo-Jezreel #1, as soon as possible, assuming sufficient capital is raised.

UN Confirms Denial of Jewish Connection to Temple Mount - Israel Today

UN Confirms Denial of Jewish Connection to Temple Mount

Wednesday, October 26, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Wednesday officially passed its resolution denying any Jewish connection to Jerusalem and its holy sites, including the Temple Mount.
The document demands that Israel cease what it calls the “intentional destruction” of Jerusalem’s holy sites, all of which the UN refers to solely by their Islamic names.
The acts of “destruction” referred to by the resolution are in fact archeological excavations being carried out adjacent to the Temple Mount, excavations that have uncovered a wealth of evidence confirming the long historical connection between the site and the Jewish people.
Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon slammed the decision, stating:
“UNESCO embarrassed itself by marching to the tune of the Palestinian pipers. All attempts to deny our heritage, distort history and disconnect the Jewish people from our capital and our homeland are doomed to fail.”
Archeologist Dr. Gabriel Barkay, who heads one of the aforementioned excavations, said the resolution was an “insult” to anyone with any intelligence.
“Jesus and the Temple Mount are referred to in the New Testament over 20 times,” Dr. Barkay noted at a Jerusalem press conference. “Jesus went there prior to his crucifixion and overturned a table from money-changers and prophesied about the Temple Mount. So he who tries to jeopardize the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount actually undermines Christianity, because it is based on Jesus and his connection to the Temple Mount.”
On Tuesday, a group of US senators and congressmen strongly urged other UNESCO member states to reject the resolution, noting that “attempting to erase the Jewish and Christian connection to this sacred city will further damage the prospects of peace.”
But the Palestinian delegation to the world body threatened in a letter to the other UNESCO delegates that failure to vote in favor of the resolution would result in the Arabs being “obliged to consider other options.”
The measure ultimately passed by a margin of 10 to 2, with 8 abstentions

Franklin Graham Pulls From Nehemiah in 'Message to a Troubled Nation' - FRANKLIN GRAHAM/BGEA Charisma News

Franklin Graham Pulls From Nehemiah in 'Message to a Troubled Nation'

FRANKLIN GRAHAM/BGEA  CHARISMA NEWS
Franklin Graham has spent this year holding rallies at every state capitol, praying for the nation and its leaders and challenging Christians to be involved in the political process. With the most critical elections in decades now just days away, here are some of the key points excerpted from Franklin's messages at the Decision America Tour events.
Our country is in trouble—we're in trouble spiritually, racially, economically and politically. Washington is broken. Our state capitols are broken.
And I can tell you: There's no party and no individual that can turn this thing around. I have no hope in the Democratic Party. I have no hope in the Republican Party. The only hope for the United States of America is Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ. And the most important thing you and I can do is pray.
You see, the moral and political walls of our nation are crumbling. Walls are meant for protection—to keep bad people out. Gates can be opened, and when threats come, the gates can be closed. But our moral walls and gates are down. Any type of wicked thoughts, wicked teaching and activity can come and go. Our educators, big business, politicians and, sad to say, many churches, are more concerned about profits or political correctness than they are about God's truth and His righteousness.
In Nehemiah 1, the children of Israel were in captivity in Babylon. God had brought judgment against Israel for their sins and their transgressions, and Nehemiah was a Jewish slave in the Babylonian king's palace. When some men came to Babylon from Judah, they told Nehemiah that the wall of Jerusalem was broken down, and its gates had been burned with fire. Nehemiah said: "When I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days. Then I fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven" (Neh. 1:4).
Nehemiah fasted and prayed. His prayer was to confess the sins of his people, his nation, himself and his father's family. God heard Nehemiah's prayer and gave him favor. The pagan king sent Nehemiah back to Jerusalem with the authority to rebuild the walls. He gave Nehemiah letters and a military escort, and within 52 days after returning, he rebuilt the walls of that city and rehung those gates.
Many people say, "Franklin, it's too late for America." No, it's not—not when the church begins to pray.
Our nation needs healing. But before our nation can be healed, our individual hearts must be healed. If you're not sure your sins are forgiven, I want you to know that God loves you. But we have a problem, and that problem is called sin. Sin is disobeying God's standards, and the Bible says we have all sinned. We're all guilty.
But the Bible says that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
Jesus Christ came to this earth, and He willingly took our sins upon Himself. Christ died and shed His blood on the cross for our sins. And on the third day God raised His Son to life. If you will invite Him into your heart, God will forgive your sins. He'll heal your heart, and you can know that your soul is at peace with God. You can have your sins forgiven.
So we look at our country. We're in sad shape, and you say to yourself, "What can I do? It seems like we're helpless." Remember: God hears prayer.
And there's another thing you can do: Vote. I won't tell you who to vote for. God will do that, but you vote. In many countries where I work, people don't have the opportunity to vote.
We still have freedom in this country, and I want to encourage you to vote—not just for the presidential election but for every election. Look at who's running, and vote for people who have biblical faith and values.
People ask me, "What about separation of church and state?" Our forefathers never intended for us to leave our faith out on the Capitol steps if we worked in that building.
The progressives say "You have the 'freedom to worship,'" which means you are restricted to the church. You can't come out into the public with your religion, because you may offend somebody.
No. Our forefathers gave us freedom of religion, where we can live our faith 24/7 in public, wherever we are.
You say, "But Franklin, I don't like Donald Trump," or "I don't like Hillary Clinton, so I'm not going to vote."
You vote. You may have to hold your nose, but vote because this election is not about personalities. This election is not about tone. It's about the Supreme Court.
The first thing the next president is going to do is nominate a Supreme Court justice. And during their term, they may nominate three, four, maybe as many as five Supreme Court justices, and that will change the direction of our country and the courts for 50 years, maybe 100 years. So it's important that you vote.
And I would like to encourage you not only to vote, but also to offer yourself to run for public office. It's too late to run during this political season, but start thinking about two years from now. Maybe God is moving you to a different position. Maybe into the state legislature. Maybe to be a city councilmember. Maybe to be a mayor. Maybe to be on the school board.
Our job as Christians is to make the impact of Christ felt in every phase of life—religious, social, economic and political. But we cannot do it in our own strength or wisdom. We can only do it if we surrender ourselves completely to God. Be an advocate for God's truth, for His righteousness. And let's elect men and women to office who will lead this nation back to really being one nation under God—one that can truthfully say once again, "In Almighty God we trust."
