Nikki Haley Applauds Resignation of UN Israel-Accuser
03-20-2017
CBN News Tzippe Barrow
JERUSALEM, Israel – U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley applauded the resignation of a top UN official whose report had accused Israel of being a racist state.
Rima Khalaf was undersecretary general and executive secretary of the UN's Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ECSWA).
Khalaf resigned after U.N. Secretary General Antonió Guterres rejected her report that accused Israel of being an apartheid state.
Haley praised Guterres' rejection of the report and called Khalaf's resignation "appropriate."
"When someone issues a false and defamatory report in the name of the U.N., it is appropriate that the person resign," Haley said. "U.N. agencies must do a better job of eliminating false and biased work, and I applaud the secretary general's decision to distance his good office from it."
A spokesman for Guterres said the report "does not reflect the views of the secretary general."
Israeli U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon called Khalaf's resignation long overdue.
"Over the years Khalaf has worked to harm Israel and advocate for the BDS [Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions] movement. Her removal from the U.N. is long overdue," Danon said.
The report, published last week by the U.N.'s Beirut-headquartered ECSWA, made up of 18 Arab states, accused Israel of being a racist and apartheid state.
Former U.N. official Richard Falk, known for his extreme anti-Israel position on a host of issues, was the report's principal author.
PA Praises Khalaf
While Danon and Haley expressed relief for Khalaf's resignation, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said she's the recipient of the P.A.'s prestigious Medal of Highest Honor. On behalf of the Palestinian people, he thanked Khalaf for her "humanitarian and national position."
Khalaf is standing by the report, saying it exposes Israel's "war crimes against humanity."
Senior P.A. officials Hanan Ashwari and Riyad al-Maliki praised the report and denounced its censorship. Al-Maliki, the P.A.'s minister of foreign affairs, called its findings an "objective analysis."
The P.A.'s official Ma'an News Agency reported, "[The PLO] will continue to remain grateful to Dr. Khalaf for assuming a principled and courageous stand on behalf of the people of Palestine."

What Was Daily Life Like for Jesus? Archaeologists are Now Painting a Much Clearer Picture - CBN News

What Was Daily Life Like for Jesus? Archaeologists are Now Painting a Much Clearer Picture
CBN News 03-20-2017

The head of the The Israel Antiquities Authority’s archaeological division said over the weekend that the agency has made a “great leap” over the past two decades in understanding how Jesus and his contemporaries lived.
“Nowadays we can restore in a very clear way the daily life during that period, from the moment of birth, through the person’s life, his dining customs, where he traveled across the land, and until his day of death including his burial,” Gideon Avni told AFP. “Over the past 20 years we have made a great leap in understanding the way of life of Jesus and his contemporaries.”
Israel happens to be one of the most archaeologically active nations on planet Earth, according to the Associated Press, with experts from all over the world heading to the Middle Eastern country to try and find treasures of old — and considering the impact of both Jesus and the Bible on history and society, that quest is more than understandable.
And as time forges on, the discovers just keep on coming. Avni said that unearthed findings unfold on a weekly basis, shedding new light on what life was like during Jesus’ time, with Avni’s comments coming as The Israel Antiquities Authority offered up on Sunday a rare look into the collections it houses in its 54,000-square foot warehouse.
The items — among the more than one million currently in the hands of the agency — included cooking utensils, a wine press, nails from crucifixions, jewelry, vases and other findings, AFP reported.
Avni said it is essential for The Israel Antiquities Authority to understand what life was like in Jesus’ era “from birth to death,” noting that, in addition to the more than one million items, the agency receives 40,000 new find every year from a total of 300 dig sites.
While no direct items have been found attributed to Jesus himself, historians have been able to explore the distance of travel between villages where Christ preached, and have also discerned what those locations looked like, the AP reported.
As for the lack of direct archeology linking Jesus to the region, Avni said this shouldn’t cause alarm. First and foremost the vast majority of historians have no doubt about Christ’s existence. Furthermore, Avni noted that Jesus was one among many people living in that region, making tracing items back to him quite tough.
“You have to remember that Christ was one among more than a million people living during this time in the Holy Land,” he told the AP.
As Faithwire has reported, there’s no shortage of interest in Jesus life, with CNN currently airing season two of its show “Finding Jesus: Faith, Fact, Forgery.” It’s a series that explores Christian artifacts, biblical figures and the locations associated with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
There has also been quite a bit of excitement over research surrounding what some believe was Jesus’ burial site. You can read about some of the other archaeological discoveries here.

Christians Persecuted by ISIS: 'God Will Use This Hell to Perform a Miracle'
3/20/2017 CBN NEWS
The Islamic State has pushed its way across Iraq and Syria, devastating entire cities and families. This hasn't stopped faithful believers from trusting God to restore their lives.
"We see destruction all around us," Ryan Mauro, a national security analyst, told Breitbart News after walking through the ancient city of Qaraqosh.
While ISIS fighters have wreaked havoc everywhere, they say their favorite prey are Christians. They have toppled down Christian homes and left church sanctuaries as burnt skeletons of the building they once were.
However, Christians remain firm.
"On a few occasions, I heard the line, 'We don't worship a God of buildings. Our God is in here,' while pointing toward their hearts," he said of local Christian.

Some say their faith is even stronger than it was before.
"The ones who I walked around Qaraqosh with were adamant that their faith is even stronger than it was before and vowed to reopen the burned church and fill it with an even bigger crowd than before," the national security analyst explained. "To them, God will use this hell they've endured to perform a miracle."
While they do not know what their future holds, many Christians and fighters on the frontlines are looking to America to help.
"The Kurds, the Kakai Kurdish minority and the Christians directly and passionately asked me to relay a request to President Trump: for him to personally come visit with them and for the U.S. to provide political and military support. A safe zone for the persecuted minorities should immediately become an official objective of U.S. policy," Mauro said.
In the meantime, they will continue praying for the day their cities will be restored.

Why We're Seeing Double Fulfillment of Bible's 'Wealth of the Gentiles' Prophecies - ASHER INTRATER CHARISMA NEWS

What is the "wealth of the Gentiles," and how does it affect Israel and the church? (Pixabay)

Standing With Israel

Why We're Seeing Double Fulfillment of Bible's 'Wealth of the Gentiles' Prophecies

ASHER INTRATER  CHARISMA NEWS
There are several passages in the prophets that speak of a day in which the "wealth of the nations [or Gentiles[ will come." (Is. 60:5,91116Zech. 14:14Rev. 21:6).
Is there to be a fulfillment or even partial fulfillment for these verses in our time? Is that to the church?—or to Israel? I think both, to some degree. If so, perhaps there is a double fulfillment to the Messianic remnant.
Why should there be such an abundance of resources? This could not be for greedy, selfish purposes or for a small vision. If the wealth is to come from all the nations, it must be a provision for a vision that will bless all the nations.
Today the possibility exists of fulfilling the great commission of the apostles for world evangelism (Acts 1), unity in the church (John 17), revival in Israel (Rom. 11) and for the millennial kingdom on Earth (Rev. 20).
For such a large-scale vision, an equivalent, large-scale provision would be needed. This is more of a responsibility than a benefit. In fact, it is a huge and difficult burden. But I feel the Lord wants us to embrace the responsibility for such a vision and to believe for its provision.
The Bible records instances in which people sold property and laid the money at the "apostles' feet." The people acted in such supernatural generosity because they grasped the greatness of the kingdom message that was expressed in the "apostles' teaching." They were motivated to support that world-changing vision.
"They continued steadfastly in the apostles' teaching" (Acts 2:42).
"... and placed it at the apostles' feet. And it was distributed to each according to his need" (Acts 4:35).
There is a great danger in this outpouring of financial blessing. Those who receive it must act in strict integrity, even personal austerity, while at the same time being aggressively generous to use the finances to advance the kingdom of God.
The miracle provision in Acts 4 led immediately to the deadly sin of Hananiah (Ananias) and Sapphira in Acts 5. The betrayal of Yeshua by Judas was prompted by jealousy over the extravagant generosity of Miriam pouring out the expensive perfume. The attack of the nations against Israel by Gog and Magog is prompted as well by jealousy over finances (Ezek. 38:12).
Recently at Congregation Ahavat Yeshua in Jerusalem, we taught and prayed humbly for the "wealth of the Gentiles to come" and to be "laid at the feet of the apostles." Five days later we received a call from a dear saint on the other side of the world, who had simultaneously been considering a major donation. He said that God spoke to him and said, "Take the money and lay it at Asher's feet."
May this serve as a supernatural sign for an outpouring of resources to many others for the completion of the apostles' vision in our generation.

The Upcoming Trade War Between The U.S. And China Will Be The Biggest In The History Of The Planet - Michael Snyder THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

Globe At Night - Public Domain

Posted: 20 Mar 2017  Michael Snyder  THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

The United States and China are the two largest economies in the world by far, and the upcoming trade war that is about to erupt will be cataclysmic for both sides.  The Trump administration and the Chinese government are both gearing up for a prolonged trade war, and this is going to have very severe implications for the entire global economy.

During the campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly stated that we “can’t continue to allow China to rape our country”, and he was quite correct about that.  Over the past ten years, the U.S. has run a trade deficit of over $2 trillion with China, and as a result of imbalanced trade we have lost tens of thousands of manufacturing businesses, millions of good paying jobs, and hundreds of billions of dollars of tax revenue.

So clearly something needs to be done to balance our trade with China and other countries.  But the situation must also be handled delicately, because trade disruptions could bring substantial short-term economic pain.

Prior to winning the election, Trump threatened to unilaterally impose a 45 percent tariff on Chinese exports.  Unfortunately, China is not just going to sit there and take whatever Trump throws at them.  Every single time the U.S. has imposed tariffs on Chinese goods in the past, China has responded by slapping tariffs on U.S. goods.

And this time around, the Chinese are already preparing a very harsh response even though Trump has not officially made his move yet…
The policy advisers believe the Trump administration is most likely to impose higher tariffs on targeted sectors where China has a big surplus with the United States, such as steel and furniture, or on state-owned firms.
China could respond with actions such as finding alternative suppliers of agriculture products or machinery and manufactured goods, while cutting its exports of consumer staples such as mobile phones or laptops, they said.
Other options include imposing tax or other restrictions on big U.S. firms operating in China, or limiting their access to China’s fast-growing services sector, they added.
When this coming trade war erupts, economic activity will be reduced significantly.  And considering the fact that U.S. economic growth is projected to be about one percent in the first quarter of 2017, that could be more than enough to push us into a deep recession.
Some of the biggest U.S. exports to China include airplanes, autos and agricultural products, and the Chinese are ready to attack on all of those fronts.  The following comes from CNN
Here’s what Global Times, a newspaper backed by the Communist Party, had to say about how Beijing would respond to tariffs of 45%:
“A batch of Boeing orders will be replaced by Airbus,” the paper said Monday“U.S. auto and iPhone sales in China will suffer a setback, and U.S. soybean and maize imports will be halted.”
But once again, something must be done for the long-term good of our country.  We have been allowing the Chinese to flood our shores with super cheap goods, but meanwhile they have already been hitting our products with ridiculously high tariffs.  Here is just one example
U.S.-made cars exported to China face tariffs of at least 25 percent, including American-made Cadillacs. The American-made Jeep Grand Cherokee costs $27,490 at U.S. dealerships and cost at least $85,000 in China.
What we have with China today is very far from “free trade”, and if they want to trade with us they need to do so on a level playing field.

But China will never allow that to happen.  As Donald Trump has correctly stated, they have been “raping” us for years, and they are going to fight very hard to keep anything from upsetting the status quo.

Trump has got to do something for the long-term good of the U.S. economy, but he has also got to try to find a way to avoid a major trade war, because a major trade war would be exceedingly painful for both countries.

Most Americans don’t realize this, but more iPhones are actually sold in China than in the United States.  And it is being projected that Boeing will sell nearly 7,000 airplanes to China over the next decade…
By the end of 2015, Chinese consumers bought 131 million iPhones. The total sales to U.S. customers during the same period stood at only 110 million. And iPhones are only a small part of U.S. exports. Boeing, which employs 150,000 workers in the U.S., estimates that China will buy some 6,810 airplanes over the next 20 years, and that market alone will be worth more than $1 trillion.
So what happens if all or part of that economic activity goes away?

According to one study, in the short-term millions of U.S. jobs could potentially be at risk if a major trade war happens…
“Millions of American jobs that appear unconnected to international trade—disproportionately lower-skilled and lower-wage jobs—would be at risk,” according to the PIIE study.
And of course a major trade war would hit American consumers very hard as well.

Just think about it.  When you go into a Wal-Mart or a dollar store, are more of the products made in the United States or in China?

A trade war would hit all of us in the wallet as the cost of living goes up.  And considering the fact that about two-thirds of the country is essentially living paycheck to paycheck, that would not be a good thing.

So yes, our trading relationship with China definitely needs to be rebalanced, but Trump needs to find a way to make this transition as minimally disruptive as possible.

A major trade war is just one of the “black swans” that could push us into the kind of economic nightmare scenario that I have been warning about for a very long time.  And sometimes a trade war can serve as a prelude to a real war.  The South China Sea has become a major sticking point between the U.S. and China, and the Chinese are getting ready to cross one of the “red lines” that Barack Obama established while he was still in office…
Beijing has plans to start construction on the disputed Scarborough Shoal this year.
China has reclaimed land in both the Spratly and Paracel Islands and constructed military outposts, but it has been hesitant to start construction on the Scarborough Shoal. Xiao Jie, the mayor of Sansha — an administrative base for China’s South China Sea activities masquerading as a city — said this week that China intends to construct environmental monitoring stations on a number of territories in the South China Sea, including the Scarborough Shoal.
So how will Trump respond when construction on Scarborough Shoal actually begins?
It will be very interesting to watch how that plays out.

The relationship between the United States and China was starting to deteriorate badly even before Donald Trump was elected, and it is very easy to see how it could totally break down in the months ahead.

And considering how interconnected the global economy is today, the United States and China could easily end up dragging down everyone else along with them.

Is Netanyahu Losing His Base Support? - Tsvi Sadan ISRAEL TODAY

Is Netanyahu Losing His Base Support?

Monday, March 20, 2017 |  Tsvi Sadan  ISRAEL TODAY
Four key affairs may prove detrimental to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political future – the police investigation probing unlawful gifts he allegedly received from Arnon Milchan, Sgt. Elor Azaria's conviction for killing a wounded terrorist, the demolition of the settlement outpost of Amona, and the coalition rift over replacing the old Israel Broadcasting Authority with a new independent broadcasting corporation.
Regarding the those gifts (primarily cigars and champagne), while most Israelis view the investigation as politically-motivated, if charged, Netanyahu is expected to resign. But this scandal is less severe, and could actually end up strengthening Netanyahu.
His real problems are the Azariya case and the demolition of Amona. A large and growing portion of Netanyahu's core right-wing constituency can't understand why he failed to stand up for the young soldier and why he still hasn't built new homes for the former residents of Amona, as he promised to do.
These two affairs could lose him votes. And it's Netanyahu's erratic behavior in regards to the new broadcasting corporation, over which he is resorting to threats, that could bring about early elections.
Growing dissatisfaction among right-wing Israelis is reflected in recent polls that show Netanyahu's Likud winning about the same number of seats as the centrist Yesh Atid party (26 to 25) if elections were held today. Of course, such polls have proved unreliable (suspiciously so) in recent years, and therefore may not be the best way to judge sentiments in the conservative camp.
The new seismograph for public opinion is online social media. Following a selection of influencers on Facebook can indicate far more accurately which way the wind is blowing. For instance, Oria Amrani's posts have caused severe headaches for Netanyahu's office for some time now, after she turned from a staunch supporter into a harsh critic.
In her December 31 post, Amrani took Netanyahu to task for "abandoning" Sgt. Azaria and warned that allowing the young soldier to be convicted [which he later was] would determine the outcome of the next national election. She wrote: "...you sent Azaria [to Hebron] … and he did what was expected of any sane soldier … yet you have thrown him to the dogs."
Moti Carpel, another influential Facebook figure, was protective of Netanyahu until he realized that the latter's attitude toward Amona and the Jewish settlement enterprise in the "West Bank" is not what it seems to be.
As a religious person, Carpel attempted to give his followers a spiritual perspective regarding Netanyahu. In his March 19 post, Carpel wrote that the Heavenly Court is now presiding over Netanyahu's moral conduct, not over his smoking habits. According to Carpel, Netanyahu's political future relies on him seizing the historic opportunity to begin annexing Israel's biblical heartland.
Everything Netanyahu has done until now, Carpel expounded, could still be forgiven. "But now, there are no more excuses," he wrote, concluding that "in the Lord's hand, the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him."
Finally, we have a post from Assaf Voll lamenting the "retarded" state of the conservative camp. On March 19 Voll wrote: "The problem of the Right is not that the Left controls the media, academia and courts of law, but that it has no style … those who care for truth must admit: The Right is moronic."
Voll continued by skewering most right-wing spokespeople as "self-righteous and pompous."
While he would not comment directly on Netanyahu, Voll gave the impression that he wouldn't shed any tears should the prime minister be ousted from office.
One can find many, many more such examples of the growing sense of dissolution on the Right. But, when all is said and done, Netanyahu could once again emerge victorious if he can convince voters of his commitment to seeing Israel blossom as a full-blown Jewish state.

Lance Wallnau: Liberals' Hatred for Russia is More Spiritual Than You Think - BOB ESCHLIMAN CHARISMA NEWS

Dr. Lance Wallnau has explained why American liberals have so much hatred toward Russia. (Facebook photo)

Lance Wallnau: Liberals' Hatred for Russia is More Spiritual Than You Think

BOB ESCHLIMAN  CHARISMA NEWS
Have you ever watched the news lately and wondered what on earth liberals, in general, have against Russia?
Sure, during the Cold War, the Soviet Union was definitely our enemy. And, in recent years, Russian president Vladimir Putin has acted in ways that have not been good for his neighbors, or for U.S. national security.
But, as Dr. Lance Wallnau pointed out in a recent commentary he posted to his Facebook page, there's definitely something deep-seated about modern mainstream liberals' visceral reaction to anything that has to do with Russia. Here's what he wrote:
What is it about Russia that obsesses Washington? North Korea and Iran want to nuke us. Why is Putin the focus?
It may be more spiritual than you think. Remember this - the modern angry activist liberal embraces an anti-Christian bias and hence an anti-Christ spirit. I know this offends some folks but all you have to do is look at the endless stream of assaults and protests and organizing and anger to see this is no longer the party of Hubert Humphrey and JFK. It's gotten weird. It's a spirit of rebellion - and rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and witchcraft operates through manipulation, intimidation, and control. Otherwise known as Alinsky's training on community organizing.
The liberal east and west coastal elites are incensed that Putin rejects homosexuality and embraces the Russian Orthodox Christian faith. This spirit is a global power that even Donald Trump tries to accommodate (though he gets nothing back from this.) I even understand Republicans like McCain and his buddy Lindsey Graham. This Batman and Robin duo have a lot of ego wrapped up in their role on the Senate Armed Services Committee. They need Russia to be an enemy. They have a lot of billion dollar military contracts riding on their ability to justify the threat they think Russia imposes. Never underestimate the corporate profits and military contract aspect behind foreign policy. Trump and McCain/Graham are competing for control of foreign policy. That's why McCain and Graham are trying to set up the President to look like a fool for saying he has been under surveillance with private calls that have been leaked to the press by Obama loyalists. They want this President impeached. McCain and Graham are part of the elite beltway democratic/republican alliance against Trump. I am calling them out and alerting you to pray that they fall into alignment or fall into the ditch they have dug for Trump.
Back to Russia. Ann Coulter put it so clearly this week, saying..."Back when Russia was actually threatening America with nuclear annihilation, Jimmy Carter warned Americans about their "inordinate fear of communism." Sting sang that "the Russians love their children, too."
"But now liberals are hopping mad with Putin. They could never forgive Russia for giving up communism."
"To add insult to injury, Putin embraced the Russian Orthodox Church! This was deeply offensive to fiercely Christophobic liberals."
(Lance: love that- Christophobic liberals. So true. Liberals have Jesus jitters.)
"Russia's descent into insanity and madness was clear when Putin refused to allow LGBTQ marches through Red Square. For having the same position on gays as Obama did, circa 2008, Russkies were walking on the fighting side of liberals!"
(Lance: hard to believe Obama could not get elected supporting same sex in 08 so Axelrod told him he had to lie to Pastor Rick Warren at Saddleback and say he stood for the Christian definition of marriage! Biggest Lie told in church in 2008. Now gay marriage is a weapon used to put Christians out of business.)
"Trump's election victory was the capstone of the left's rage with Putin. To explain the inexplicable, Putin was made the center of liberals' axis of evil, the mastermind of a malevolent plot to steal the election from Hillary Clinton."
"That's how liberals became born-again John Birchers, seeing Russians under every bed. Now, no fear of Russia is inordinate. The Russians do NOT love their children, too."
( Well, that's enough politics for now. Just wanted to let you know revival is coming to Russia!)
So far, the post has generated hundreds of likes, shares, and comments.

Listen to Lance Wallnau Tell Why We Should Pray for Milo and Must Break the Spirit of Leviathan

STEVE STRANG  CHARISMA NEWS
When the left-wing media turned on Milo Yiannopoulos, the conservative gay media phenomenon, a couple of weeks ago, some Christians seemed eager to pile on. They may agree with Milo's conservative views, but they don't approve of his being gay.
However, Dr. Lance Wallnau has a different view. Lance—a businessman whom God is raising up as a prophetic voice—spoke up and said Christians should pray for Milo instead of attacking him. You can read our report here on Charismanews.com.
Lance is one of the prophetic voices who, more than a year ago, said God was raising Donald Trump to be like Cyrus and that he would be elected. This was back when no one gave him a chance of winning—including me. Back then, most conservative evangelical leaders were not being prophetic but were trying to back anyone but Trump. Most were playing political games, hoping to secure themselves a place at the table in the new administration.
Now, Lance is speaking out about what's really going on with the radical left in this country. They control Hollywood, academia, the media and much of the governmental bureaucracy today. I interviewed him on my Strang Report podcast to get his take on the solutions, and he offered interesting insights into how what happened to Milo is part of what the Bible calls the Spirit of Leviathan (See Job 3:8, 41:1, 10; Ps. 74:14, 104:26; Is. 27:1).
Rather than simply repeating what Lance says, I invite you to click on the 19-minute podcast to hear a lively discussion about current events, the role of the church, the strange case of Milo becoming a media phenomenon and how the left tried to destroy him because of his conservative stance. We ended by joining in prayer for Milo to come to know the Lord.
If you agree with what Lance has to say, share it on social media. Some of my previous podcasts with him have been hugely popular, almost to the point of going viral.
Let's support what this prophet of God is doing and saying. Lance must sometimes feel as if he's alone, crying in the wilderness like prophets of old.  And let's pray God raises up other prophetic voices at this important time in our nation's history.

Lance Wallnau Says Pray for Milo and Break the Spirit of Leviathan
Who is driving liberal activists crazy? It's a young man speaking against the status quo named Milo Yiannopoulos. Hear Lance Wallnau explain why Milo is stirring up controversy in politics and the media. Wallnau calls Christians to pray for Milo and to break the
