Twenty-five members of parliaments and congresses from around the world gathered in Jerusalem to stand in solidarity with Israel. These lawmakers are the chairmen of Israel Allies Caucuses which represent hundreds of members of Congress and Parliament worldwide. Under the Israel Allies Foundation (IAF), these caucuses coordinate international activity on Israel-related issues. Over the Sukkot festival, the participating lawmakers met with Minister of Defense, Moshe Ya’alon, Minister of Economy, Naftali Bennettand others.
The 2013 Chairman’s Conference is the initiative of the Israel Allies Foundation and is co-sponsored by the World Jewish Congress and the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. The Chairman’s Conference took place on September 22nd and 23rd, 2013 at the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem.
The participants included members of Congress from the US, and members of Parliament from the European Union, Canada, the UK, Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Macedonia, Poland, South Africa, Guatemala, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Uruguay.
During the two-day conference, the lawmakers discussed ways to strengthen Israel and specifically address the recent European boycott of Israeli products and academia in Judea and Samaria  and Jerusalem. Participants called this ban an act of discrimination and a move destructive to peace efforts. The delegation also toured Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and met with top Israeli government officials including: Minister Naftali Bennett and Minister Moshe Ya’alon.
British MEP Roger Helmer exclaimed, “I was struck by how tiny the state of Israel is if you remove Judah and Samaria. They are an intrinsic part of Israel…This interest is beneficial not only to Israeli residents but to all other residents in that area as well.”
IAF President, Rabbi Benny Elon said, “The arrival of more than 20 parliamentarians representing hundreds of pro-Israel Congressmen and Parliamentarians from around the world, presents a clear picture of massive international support for the Jewish State. This is a tremendous demonstration of strength. After meeting personally with these Parliamentarians, I am sure that their sympathy and support for Israel will translate into practical measures against the boycotts on Israel and its economy.”
“The planned EU ban on Israeli institutions in east Jerusalem and Judah and Samaria is both discrimination and destructive, and based on a prejudiced interpretation of the situation on the ground and of international law. I applaud the action taken by this international parliamentary body,” Alon added.
US Rep. Doug Lamborn, who has also co-sponsored HB 2846, also known as the “Recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel Act” said, “We urge the EU to halt these harmful directives which will only serve to harden positions and undermine peace talks currently underway.”
Deputy Minister of Defense Danny Dannon lauded the esteemed group for their efforts, telling them, “I want to thank the Israel Allies Foundation, and you, the lawmakers, for standing with Israel and for what is right. I know it is not easy and that you are in the minority but you are doing the right thing.”

This morning I was revisited with a vision I had of our nation in 1996.

Out of nowhere, came a vision of the Liberty Bell. My attention was naturally drawn to the crack in the Bell. I felt in my spirit so grieved to feel how it seemed to signify such a deep fatal crack in the true liberty and freedom of our nation. Could that breach ever be repaired? Why wasn’t at least the physical defect of the Bell ever filled in with more metal? Would the Bell’s scar be prophetic, representing our nation’s fatal epitaph–unchangeable like the Grand Canyon engraved into Arizona. If only the crack was not there. I felt mesmerized by it. For the longest time my eyes could not move nor could my eyelids even blink.

SUDDENLY, LIKE A DAM BURSTING

Then suddenly as though in a twinkling of an eye, the brightest light pierced through that crack like a dam bursting. My head immediately turned away from the brightness emanating out of that crack. Instantly I had a knowing that this was the very Shekinah Glory of God.

FROM THE INTERCESSIONS OF GOD’S PEOPLE

Looking away from its brightness, I saw a large rope that was attached to the Bell. This rope was intertwined and braided. It seemed to be made out of the prayers and intercessions of God’s people. The Hand of the Lord began to reach down towards this rope to get a hold of it.

The Lord then spoke. “This Liberty Bell is going to ring again.” I then remembered the words inscribed on that Bell: Proclaim Liberty throughout the land and to all the inhabitants thereof.” It was now a rhema word from God.

In the Spirit I had a knowing that the Liberty Bell would be heard again spiritually throughout Philadelphia and across the nation. And with the sound of Liberty, the Shekinah Glory of God would begin to rise up out of obscurity and be seen even in the gross dark places of our nation. Concerning this vision the Lord spoke, “Have My people forgotten that all things are possible?”

Tradition holds that the Bell cracked while it was being rung during a funeral service in memory of a Sheriff. Prophetically it will ring again for the life and the Glory of a King who still lives in our land.

Every year, thousands of Christians from a round the world ascend to Jerusalem to take part in the biblical Feast of Tabernacles, known in Hebrew as Sukkot. And this year was no different, despite mounting regional instability.

The overwhelming presence of Christians at this time of year is now a common occurrence. But many Israelis are still baffled by the phenomenon, unsure what to make of so many foreigners taking part in their holiday and expressing such outright love and support for their nation.

The Times of Israel has a good write-up about how bizarre a spectacle this is for the average Israeli. But, the author also encourages his countrymen to cast aside any suspicions and see this Christian involvement in the Feast for what it is:

"It is much less complicated than many Israelis think. These Christians have come from around the world to bless Israel – ve-zehu (that is all). They believe that God loves the Jewish people and has a plan for their nation, and feel a deep spiritual obligation to show their unconditional love to the Jews."

During this time, Israel Today spent a day with one of the Christian Feast of Tabernacles groups as it visited the home base of the IDF's Givati infantry brigade. We asked the young soldiers at the base what they thought of the Christian worship, dancing, and general outpouring of love.

Was Jesus Born On Tabernacles?

Jews in Israel and worldwide celebrated the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as the Feast of Booths or Sukkot. Could it be that this joyful feast begins exactly on the day Jesus was born?

Growing up in Jerusalem, I remember how every year on "Sukkot" (Hebrew for the "Feast of Tabernacles") we used to build our Sukkah (booth) in the small balcony we had in our little condo. It was such a joy to have our meals in this little temporary camping ground, especially being surrounded by all the shiny decorations that we made. I was taught that we Jews celebrate Sukkot to remember how God provided all our needs during the 40 years we lives in booths on our exodus from Egypt to the Promised Land. Little did I know that Sukkot points to the Messiah... let along Jesus, whom I considered to be the God of the Christians.

It took another twenty some years for me to realize that this Jesus is really YESHUA, "the King of the Jews," the Messiah of Israel, whom died to atone for the sins of whoever will believe in Him. I was shocked to find out how Jewish Jesus really is! For Heaven's sake, He even died on a very Jewish feast - Passover - just like the Passover lamb in Egypt, shedding His blood to save the people of Israel.

As my search continued, I started to see that Passover isn't the only Biblical feast that foreshadows Jesus. The next obvious one was the "Feast of Shavuot" (Pentecost). It was on this Biblical feast when the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus asked the Father to give us, descended from heaven. So it happens that Shavuot was also the feast on which the law was given to Israel when Moses descended from Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments. It doesn't seem to be a coincidence, does it?

There is no doubt about it - All of the feasts of Israel point prophetically to the Messiah of Israel. These feasts should really be called "appointed times" as this is the correct translation of the Hebrew word "Moadim" (Lev. 23:2). The same verse also clearly indicates that these appointed times are of the Lord. So if the day Jesus died is on one of God's appointed times, wouldn't it make sense that the day Jesus was born is on one of God's appointed times as well?

If that's the case, which one of God's appointed times will be Jesus' birthday? First, we need to refresh our memory to the fact that God commanded all the men of Israel to come up to the temple in Jerusalem just on three of His appointed times:Passover, Pentecost and... The Feast of Tabernacles (Deut. 16:16). It is like Sukkot is in the "inner circle" of God's appointed times.

Furthermore, God told the people of Israel that on this day they should be "Only rejoicing." (Deut. 16:15) The Hebrew word "Ach" that was translated to English in a variety of ways - only, surely, wholly, completely, altogether, truly, great - emphasizes the extreme level of joy that will be experienced on this appointed time. Joy so abundant that simply doesn't leave room for anything else.

Any parent knows firsthand that a birth of a child is probably the greatest joy that one can experience in life. The only greater joy that I can possibly think of is the birth of THE CHILD, the Son of God, the promised Messiah of Israel. Do the scriptures agree with that statement? Let's check.

In Psalms 118 we can find some fascinating evidences that tie between Jesus, Tabernacles and great joy. In verse 14 we find the Hebrew name of Jesus, Yeshua, which means salvation: "The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become mysalvation." And on the very next verse we read: "The voice ofrejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord does valiantly." (Psalms 118:15) Then, on verse 24, the Psalms says: "This isthe day that the Lord has made,we will rejoice and be glad in it." Very interestingly, Psalms 118 happens to be the last Psalm of what is called the "Hallel", a unit of six Psalms (113-118) that have been read by Israel throughout the generations on the three pilgrimage feasts - including Sukkot! So here we have it: Rejoicing, Tabernacles and Jesus.

But does the New Testament supports that? Yes! Remember what the angel told the shepherds on the day Jesus was born? - "I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." (Luke 2:10) Now you tell me, can you think of a better day for God to send an angel to proclaim GREAT JOY? Wouldn't it make sense that this will happen on the only day of the year when God told the children of Israel to be nothing but joyfull?

Not sure yet? Here's more. We read in Luke 2:6-7 that when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, His mother "laid Him in a manger." Why did she do that? "...because there was no place for them in the inn." Hum... I wonder why there was no place in the inn. Let me remind you again that on these three pilgrimage feasts EVERY Israeli man was commanded to come up to Jerusalem, which is just a few miles from Bethlehem. According to the Jewish Historian Josephus, about 2.5 million Jews from countries all around Israel would come up to Jerusalem on these feasts. Take this from one that lived in Jerusalem most of his life - even today, with all the big hotels in Jerusalem, there would be no way for you to get a hotel room if 2.5 million people would come up to Jerusalem on the same week. Forget about it! You would be lucky to find a place in a manger...

Yet there is more. Eight days later, like all Jewish boys, Jesus was circumcised (Luke 2:21). Amazingly, that day "happens to fall" on the last day of the feast of Sukkot, the same 8th day that concludes God's appointed times (Lev.23:36). Jewish people call this special day "Simchat Torah," meaning "The Joy of the Law."

For me, it is quit hard to be "Only rejoicing" on this day. Why? Almost all of my people - well over 99% of us Jews - still don't know the One who came to "tabernacle with us" (John1:14), the One that came to fulfill the law (Mat. 5:17) so that we could be forgiven.

Steve, today millions of Jewish people in Israel and worldwide are taking down their tabernacles. One more year passed without them knowing the joy of salvation. Please join me this year in doing all we can to bring these "tidings of great joy" to all Israel. With God's grace and with your prayers and support, we can lead Israel to Jesus.

Imagine What the Jewish Temple Looked Like -- Here's a Model Built by Conrad Schick, a Jerusalem Christian, 140 Years Ago Posted: 22 Sep 2013 12:18 PM PDT "Model of Solomon's Temple and environs" constructed by Dr. Conrad Schick (circa 1870). The photo was probably taken around 1900 and colorized by photographer Eric Matson some 60 years later  [The model is more representative of Jerusalem in the days of Herod, and not in the days of Solomon.] As Jews celebrate the Sukkot holiday around the world, their liturgy reflects the huge role the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem played on this pilgrimage holiday. Conrad Schick 1822-1901 "Bring us to Zion, Your city, in glad song, and to Jerusalem the site of your Temple, with eternal gladness."  -- From the Musaf service during Sukkot. Jerusalem also attracted many Christians, including Conrad Schick, a German missionary who arrived in 1846.  Schick was a self-taught architect, cartographer and archaeologist, and very well-respected by all faiths in Jerusalem.  The mark he left on Jerusalem lasts until today, particularly in the buildings and neighborhoods he designed such as the Me'ah She'arim neighborhood and the Bikur Cholim and Sha'are Zedek hospitals. The "German" hospital (1939), now Bikur Cholim hospital Schick's house today (Magister, Wikipedia) Schick was also well known for his models of archaeological sites. A respected archaeologist, he would show up at various construction sites and digs to inspect ancient finds.  The Muslim authorities permitted him relatively free access to the Temple Mount when they requested his help in renovations.  Schick and his student, Jacob Eliahu Spafford, the adopted Jewish-born son of the American Colony founders, are credited with discovering the Silwan Tunnel tablet, credited to King Hezekiah. In the early ‘70s Bob Mumford, Derek Prince and Don Basham held weekly teachings at the Governor’s Club in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The meetings were well attended as the worldwide Charismatic Renewal was in full swing. In ’74 the brothers launched a church called, Good News Fellowship. In September of ’75, Derek asked me to found a satellite branch that became known as Good News Church.

There are many exciting things that I could say about our services. I will only focus on one. It is the prophetic dynamic of our worship. To this day, I still get many comments from aging members and visitors that it was the most memorable time of their Christian experience.

The worship team was comprised of a 10 piece orchestra; at least 4 singers; the worship leader; and a cast of skilled interpretive dancers. Here is a sample of what might occur in most any Sunday service. One of the instrument players would get a spontaneous melody line from the Lord. It was often our cellist, Cheryl or our flutist, Sue. They would play through a melody that had not previously been heard on this planet. The entire orchestra would have revelatory insight for the direction that the piece was going. Whether the essence was classical, country, or rock, it sounded as though it had been rehearsed all week.

At the onset of the second play through, one of the singers would begin to sing lyrics in unknown tongues. After a bit, either one of the platform singers or, perhaps a prophetically inclined parishioner would come to the microphone and sing the lyric’s interpretation in English. At that, the worship singers would all sing in their prayer languages to the same melody line. After a pause, one of them would sing the interpretation.

A new song of the Lord would evolve with chorus and verses. Usually, the entire congregation would unite in singing the chorus. The content of the lyrics could be about the attributes of a member of the Godhead; any imaginable aspect of redemption; and future glories of the Body of Christ. Whether the tone was worshipfully delicate or that of rhythmic praise, the sheen of God’s presence glistened from tearful eyes and smiling faces as each spontaneous installment of verses came forth.

At varying points during these episodes, it was not uncommon for one of the dancers to minister to the Lord in interpretive dance. Their dance was so anointed that the message of the spontaneous song could be discerned without hearing its lyrics.

More Better

Oh’ how I have longed for repeats of those days of the ‘70s and ‘80s. Tonight, I am getting a message in tongues with an interpretation. As I have listened to myself singing several times, the unknown languages seemed to vary, but the interpretations had little variance. I suspect that the message is comprised of more than one language as there do not seem to be the customary repetitions of articles and verbs of a single language. I will give the tongue message with phonetic spelling and then give the interpretation as it comes to me.

An Interpretation 

Who, I say? Who is this who is created from the nation discounted? It is many people, who will arise and walk the earth united. It is the people of the Living God who will cover the world manifesting the presence of the Spirit of Christ.

That is my hope and I am sticking to it. So be it!
