One Thing (Remains) - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

One Thing (Remains)
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

Passion worship music, much like Jesus Culture, Bethel, Elevation, United and MorningStar today, encourages many. with their love. It is great to see the next generation praise and worship the Father God and His Son Jesus as they give thanks and acknowledge the True King.

I like most of the songs these ministries produce, as much as I did of those I loved (and still do) back in the day. Songs by Integrity Music’s Hosanna!, especially Don Moen and Paul Wilbur; Vineyard, with the ones by David Ruis and Andy Park; and Hillsongs, with Darlene Zschech leading the worship singing songs written by Morgan Rueben. Anything that focuses on and draws one’s heart and spirit into the worship of the Lord Jesus touches my heart. It is because Holy Spirit is expressing His love.

Kristian Stanfill with Passion sings the song “One Thing Remains” (2012). I am sure I first heard it on the radio shortly thereafter, and bought the CD.  Being I wanted something physical in my hands, I didn’t just download the MP3 version. And now, after putting it on my laptop and uploading it to the “cloud”, to have it for listening on my smartphone also, I take it with me wherever I go. Kinda like American Express, for those who never used to leave home without it.

In the song “One Thing Remains”, the lyrics state love never fails. Never gives up. On and on it goes. So Kristian declares as he fills the air with truth. He is proclaiming Christ, the Messiah.

Love has been given many descriptions over the centuries, as we attempt to understand its place in our lives and the value we attribute to it. You can love your dog, love your job (I hope), love your NFL team, and some love the ground they walk on. In varying degrees and with all kinds of expressions, we try to show forth love.

But the love that will endure forever, the love that we continually grasp for as we attempt to fill our heart with many things in the name of love, only comes from God. Because God IS love.

Open His heart. There is love. Listen to His voice. There is love. Observe how He moves in the lives of you, me, and people of the world. There is love. Jesus (Yeshua) calls us to share His eternal love with others. The love that lays down his life for his friends. As He did.

A prophetic man by the name of Bob Jones (now with the Lord in heaven) was asked once by the Lord Himself, “Did you learn to love?” I knew Bob, and heard him talk about that question in the MorningStar meetings where he spoke and we attended. I think maybe even he had to stop and think at first what really the Lord was asking of him at that time. Did the love Bob give match the love the Lord had given to him, for him to share with those he encountered?

From what others have said, and what I observed, I think Bob did before his passing. He left a love that remained, and now it bears fruit in the lives of those who received it.

In 2002 Don Moen recorded the song, “When It’s All Been Said and Done” on his Thank You Lord (Integrity Music 2004) project.  I share the lyrics for you to consider how we live our life, and share His love with others.

"When It's All Been Said And Done"

When it's all been said and done
There is just one thing that matters
Did I do my best to live for truth?
Did I live my life for you?

When it's all been said and done
All my treasures will mean nothing
Only what I've done for love's reward
Will stand the test of time

Lord, your mercy is so great
That you look beyond our weakness
And find purest gold in miry clay
Turning sinners into saints.
Hallelujah

And I will always sing your praise
Here on earth and ever after
For you've shown me heaven’s my true home
When it's all been said and done
You're my life when life is gone...

Our Lord’s love for us is eternal. He has demonstrated it with His own life. As we live our life for Him, and allow His love to come through us, for those around us and beyond, we too will be able to say we have learned to love. That love that will remain for eternity.

“For God is not so unfair as to forget your work and the love you showed for him in your past service to his people — and in your present service too. However, we want each one of you to keep showing the same diligence right up to the end, when your hope will be realized; so that you will not become sluggish, but will be imitators of those who by their trust and patience are receiving what has been promised.” (Hebrews  6:10-12 Complete Jewish Bible)

Yeshua says, "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you." (John 15:12-14 NKJV)

One thing will remain – God’s love for us, and that love we in turn share for God and people. Share some love today.

Something to think about.

Love you,

We Have Never Seen Global Trade Collapse This Dramatically Outside of a Major Recession

If you have been watching for the next major global economic downturn, you can now stop waiting, because it has officially arrived. Never before in history has global trade collapsed this dramatically outside of a major worldwide recession. And this makes perfect sense—when global economic activity is increasing there is more demand for goods and services around the world, and when global economic activity is decreasing, there is less demand for goods and services around the world.
So far this year, global trade is down about 8.4 percent, and over the past 30 days, the Baltic Dry Index has been absolutely plummeting. A month ago, it was sitting at a reading of 809, but now it has fallen all the way to 628. However, it is when you look at the trade numbers for specific countries that the numbers become particularly startling.
Just within the last few days, new trade numbers have come out of China. China accounts for approximately one-fifth of all global factory exports, and for many years, Chinese export growth has helped fuel the overall global economy.
But now Chinese exports are falling. In October, Chinese exports were down 6.9 percent compared to a year ago. That follows a decline of 3.7 percent in September.
The numbers for Chinese imports are even worse. Chinese imports in October were down 18.8 percent compared to a year ago after falling 20.4 percent in September. China's growing middle class was supposed to help lead a global economic recovery, but that simply is not happening.
Other numbers confirm the magnitude of the economic slowdown in China. I have mentioned the ongoing plunge of the China Containerized Freight Index previously, but now it has just hit a brand-new record low:
The weakness in China's economy and its exports to the rest of the world are showing up in the weekly China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI): On Friday, it dropped to the worst level ever.
The index, operated by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, tracks how much it costs, based on contractual and spot-market rates, to ship containers from China to 14 major destinations around the world. Unlike a lot of official data from China, the index is an unvarnished reflection of a relentless reality.
It has been cascading lower since February and has since dropped 31 percent. At 742 currently, it's down 26 percent from its inception in 1998 when it was set at 1,000.
Here are some more deeply disturbing global trade numbers that come from my previous article entitled "18 Numbers That Scream That a Crippling Global Recession Has Arrived":
  • Demand for Chinese steel is down 8.9 percent compared to a year ago.
  • China's rail freight volume is down 10.1 percent compared to last year.
  • In October, South Korean exports were down 15.8 percent from a year ago.
  • According to the Dutch government index, global trade in primary commodities was sitting at a reading of 150 a year ago, but now it has fallen all the way down to 114. What this means is that less commodities are being traded around the world, and that is a very clear sign that global economic activity is really slowing down.
Additionally, German export orders were down about 18 percent in September, and U.S. exports are down about 10 percent for the year so far.
Clearly something very big is happening, and it is affecting the entire planet. The CEO of the largest shipping company in the world believes that the explanation for what is taking place is fairly simple:
In fact, according to CEO, Nils Smedegaard Andersen, the reason why companies that are reliant on global trade, such as his, are flailing is simple: global growth is substantially worse than the official numbers and forecasts. To wit: "The world's economy is growing at a slower pace than the International Monetary Fund and other large forecasters are predicting."
Quoted by Bloomberg, Andersen says that "we believe that global growth is slowing down," he said in a phone interview. "Trade is currently significantly weaker than it normally would be under the growth forecasts we see."
Global financial markets can run, but they can't hide from these horrifying trade numbers forever.
One of the big things that is contributing to this new global economic slowdown is the unwinding of the U.S. dollar carry trade. A recent piece from Phoenix Capital Research explained the U.S. dollar carry trade pretty well:
When the Fed cut interest rates to zero in 2008, it flooded the system with US Dollars. The US Dollar is the reserve currency of the world. NO matter what country you're in (with few exceptions) you can borrow in US Dollars.
And if you can borrow in US Dollars at 0.25 percent: and put that money into anything yielding more: you could make a killing.
A hedge fund in Hong Kong could borrow $100 million, pay just $250,000 in interest and plow that money into Brazilian Reals which yielded 11 percent: locking in a $9.75 million return.
This was the strictly financial side of things. On the economics side, Governments both sovereign and local borrowed in US Dollars around the globe to fund various infrastructure and municipal projects.
Simply put, the US Government was practically giving money away and the world took notice, borrowing Dollars at a record pace. Today, the global carry trade (meaning money borrowed in US Dollars and invested in other assets) stands at over $9 TRILLION (larger than the economy of France and Brazil combined).
But now the U.S. dollar carry trade is starting to unwind because the U.S. dollar has been doing very well lately. As the U.S. dollar has surged against other global currencies in 2015, this has put a tremendous amount of stress on emerging markets around the world.
All of a sudden, oil, other commodities and stock markets in nations such as Brazil began to crash. Meanwhile, those that had taken out loans denominated in U.S. dollars were finding that it was taking far more of their own local currencies to service and repay those loans. This financial crunch in emerging markets is going to take years to fully play out, and it is going to take a tremendous toll on global markets.
Of course, we have seen this happen before. A surging dollar helped cause the Latin American debt crisis of the 1980s, the Asian financial crisis of the 1990s and the major global recession of 2008 and 2009.
If you thought that the financial shaking that happened in late August was bad, the truth is that it was nothing compared to what is now heading our way.
So buckle your seat belts, boys and girls, because we are definitely in for a bumpy ride.

Rick Joyner: It's No Accident the GOP Debate Was Right Before 11/11

Rick Joyner aligned the most recent GOP debate date with the prophecy in Isaiah 11.

"I think it's a message from God, and it is an important one," the prophetic voice said during Prophetic Perspectives With Rick Joyner. "Isaiah 11:11 speaks of another chance. It's where He says He will restore Israel to their land a second time."
Even though we make repeated mistakes, God doesn't give up on us, Joyner says.
The same applies to politicians. Click here to watch the video to see why.

Qatari minister says Israel is ‘offending 1.5 billion Muslims’ - II&ET

Qatari minister says Israel is ‘offending 1.5 billion Muslims’ - II&ET

ISRAELMUSLIM BROTHERHOODTEMPLE MOUNTNovember 9, 2015

QATAR’S Foreign Minister rules out cooperation with Israel, says it offends Muslims with its actions on the Temple Mount
Qatar’s Foreign Minister on Wednesday ruled out the possibility that his country would cooperate with Israel, accusing the Jewish state of “offending 1.5 billion Muslims”.
Speaking to Al Jazeera and quoted by Haaretz, the minister, Khalid Al Attiyah, said, “I don’t think we are in a position to have any cooperation with Israel at this stage” in the absence of a peace process.

He proceeded to accused Israel of being provocative regarding the status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

“You are offending 1.5 billion Muslims when you are talking about the Masjid Al Aqsa…and we have raised the flag before,” said Al Attiya, who warned that the current unrest is a “third intifada” that could become “the worst intifada” yet.

“The people who went to the street… [were] born after the Oslo Treaty and they saw there is no hope,” he claimed.

This is not the first time that the Qatari minister, whose country is known for its ties and support for the Muslim Brotherhood and for Hamas, has attacked Israel.
In August, Al Attiya blasted Israeli “occupation” when discussing the crises in the Middle East, claiming that “the Middle East is suffering from the failures of the peace process due to the Israeli occupation” of Palestinian land.
Al-Attiya accused Israel of “intransigence” in dealing with the Palestinians and said it must end its “illegal blockade of Gaza”.
There were reports several months ago that Qatar halted its financial support for Hamas in order to push the group to change its policy against Egypt, which Qatar had just reconciled with.
Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar said, however, that the report was completely untrue.

Netanyahu Calls US Jews to Unite in Support of Israel - CBNNews.com

Netanyahu Calls US Jews
to Unite in Support of Israel

JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged the American Jewish community to unite in support of Israel.
Speaking at the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly, Netanyahu reaffirmed U.S.-Israeli ties, saying "no matter what disagreements there are between Israel and the United States, Israel has no better friend than America and America has no better friend than Israel."
He called for Jewish unity in the face of his fierce opposition to the Iranian nuclear deal, which many felt drove a wedge between Jewish organizations and some of their leaders.
"No matter what disagreements there have been within the Jewish community, maintaining the unity of our people is of paramount importance," Netanyahu said. "There is only one Jewish people. There is only one Jewish state. And now, more than ever, we must work together to unite the Jewish people and secure the Jewish state."
Israel, he said, is the only nation in the region where the Christian population is growing and where gay rights are protected. It's a nation founded on egalitarianism.
"You see it in an Arab schoolboy who knows that – or school girl – they can grow up to be Knesset members or ambassadors or a Supreme Court justice," he said. "We have an Arab Supreme Court justice, in case you didn't know. And it's the only truly independent court in a very, very large radius."
Netanyahu said he's working to ensure that Orthodox, Conservative and Reform Jews can all feel at home in Israel.
"As prime minister of Israel, I will always ensure that all Jews can feel at home in Israel – Reform Jews, Conservative Jews, Orthodox Jews – all Jews," he said. "And now, for the first time, the government of Israel is joining with the Jewish Agency to invest in strengthening Reform and Conservative communities within Israel."
An "unshakeable bond" unites Jewish people, he said.
"It's a bond of hope – not the shallow hope of wishful thinking, but the deep wellspring of confidence that comes from a people who have forded history's most turbulent rivers and emerged triumphant on the other side in the Promised Land," Netanyahu said.

Even Atheists Acknowledge the Mainstream Media's Islam Bias

Is there a double standard in the mainstream media and among many on the Left when it comes to criticizing Christianity and Islam? One man says yes.
Phil Zuckerman is a professor of Sociology and Secular Studies at Pitzer College and author of the book, The Secular Life.
He recently told an audience at Georgetown University that he believes that many in the press feel that it is OK to criticize, mock and make fun of Christianity, but said Islam gets a free pass.
