Standing in support of Israel, Jews, and believers in all the nations, in the name of Jesus (Yeshua). Sharing biblical truth, encouragement, news and prophecy.
“My
son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.”
(Proverbs
4:20 Complete Jewish Bible)
How often
do you need direction? Ever take a wrong turn because the GPS or Google maps app
led you to a dead end road? It has done it to me.
Do you
ever need wisdom to know what is the right thing to do, when to do it and how
to do it? Probably everyday if we admit it.
As it happens
often, I personally have to choose to give the Lord the opportunity to speak to
me, so who and what I hear is coming from Him. Yes, He is speaking – through
His Word, by way of other people sharing a thought with me, or having His Holy
Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew) drop a word in my brain at any given moment.
If I am spiritually open, I will know it is Him.
Choosing
to hear the Lord is up to each individual. Being raised a Roman Catholic, I
thought it was the priest’s job to hear God. If God wanted to say something to
me, of course He’d tell the priest and I’d hear it during his little sermonette
given once a week at Sunday Mass. I could just sit back and let the man of the
cloth do it. He was closer to God, right? (While at the University of Northern
Iowa in the fall of 1973, my one and only year of college at the age of 18, the
Lord revealed Himself to me big time. I then divinely understood what He meant
when He told Peter Who the Rock was. It was Jesus Himself.)
For the “Protestants”,
those having a pastor or teacher of the Bible can easily expect him to just tell
you what to do during your weekly meeting. So why read your Bible or pray daily
during a daily quiet time with the Lord? Let someone else do it for you. Or so
many mistakenly think.
We can
allow the constant onslaught of noise to so occupy our thoughts that even when
He does speak we may not know it. That is our loss. It will cost us now and
later.
The
Almighty God, Creator of the universe, wants to communicate with His children.
He desires to give us direction and wisdom, but we must give Him a quiet break
in our lives to be able to hear Him.
It takes
time to learn to hear the Lord’s voice. It is a discipline we must have. Being
able to discern when He speaks is an ongoing process, even as we learned to
listen in our youth. As a young child growing up, given time over the months
and years, each child becomes accustomed to the sound of their parents’ voices.
I heard once that even the unborn baby begins to recognize the voice of their
mother. They respond accordingly when she talks. (Yet another reason to protect
the unborn in their mother’s womb at any stage of their living growth.) So it
is with the Lord. It takes time, but we can learn to hear His voice.
I often find
myself during the day asking the Lord for help in my office accounting work for
three businesses. It becomes especially necessary as the years have gone by and
my memory banks do not seem to be as easily able to access the info needed. I
like the joke I heard once of the aged one who said, “It takes a little longer
to get the answer to a question nowadays. With all the information I have packed
in my mind, those memory banks have more to process through.”
We need
to hear God for our own personal lives. We need to hear God for our families.
We need to be a part of the “working” Body of Christ, that rises up in our
culture and declares His truth, opposing the deception rampantly spreading
throughout the world. Only by hearing His voice will we be able to do it.
For the congregation
we are connected to, we need to hear God. For the nation we abide in, we
desperately need to know what the Lord is saying, so we can hear, obey and move
forward with His directives.
Hearing
God is especially more true today as His written Word has been replaced in all
areas of society, including our government and the arts. Knowing what is now
going on in the educational system, which presses upon our children’s minds a
godless, humanistic, crumbling foundation; and Islamic and other false religions
subtlety and blatantly showing up in text books and teachers’ lessons - we have
got to hear the Lord, so we can act
properly, and be sure our kids know the truth, and are raised right!
I
encourage you to do whatever it takes for you to hear God. My practice is to
give Him the first hour of the day. In order to do that I personally have to
cut back the time I stay up at night watching TV. It is worth it, as He shares
His heart with me in the morning hours.
How about
you? Do you want to hear the Lord speak to you? Then give Him that time to do
so. Believe me, He is waiting and willing to speak to you.
Now think
on this,

But how do committed Christian kids feel every day in school districts across America when their views are ridiculed, when they are called bigots and haters because they cannot endorse the latest politically correct trend, when carrying a Bible with them is considered a sign of fanaticism? The Degeneration of American Schools: From Revering the Bible to Reviling the Bible
Did you know that in 1647, early American settlers passed the "Old Satan Deluder Act" to encourage children's education so they could learn to read the Bible?
Christian educator Tim Hoy says: "One of the earliest education laws in our country was passed by the early settlers in 1647, called the 'Old Satan Deluder Act.' The settlers came to America to escape religious and political persecution in Europe. They believed that the persecutions (acts carried out under Satan's delusion) were allowed to take place because of the populace's illiteracy in general and biblical illiteracy in particular. To combat a possible repeat of history in the new land, the settlers mandated that communities with at least 50 families must sponsor a teacher; they must establish a grammar school when the population reached 100 families. The purpose of the school was to teach the children to read, particularly to read and understand the Bible."
Not only so, but "the 1690 Connecticut Illiteracy Law was passed with the same motive in mind: in order to equip the citizenry for 'reading the Holy Word of God and the good laws of this (State).'"
But when Focus on the Family sponsored a national "Bring Your Bible to School Day" on Oct. 8, the idea was met with concern in some school districts. The Bible brought to our schools? How could this be?
It's no problem to advocate every kind of godless philosophy in these same classrooms.
It's no problem to teach every kind of profane sex-ed curriculum to these same students.
It's no problem to exalt Islam and other world religions (but not Christianity) in their religion textbooks.
It's no problem to distribute condoms, to advertise Planned Parenthood and to promote homosexuality in these same hallways.
But to bring the Bible to school and talk about it?
How dangerous!
As reported on the Sacramento Bee website, the real rub was that parents in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District were upset that the district "would send information to their inboxes publicizing 'bring your Bible to school day,'" even though the email "included a disclaimer that said the school district was not a sponsor of the program."
Indeed, "some parents were furious that the district had allowed a religious entity to promote itself via the district email system," with one parent claiming, "It's unbelievable the district is supporting something that blurs the line between public education and religion."
But Daniel Thigpen, spokesman for the district, says, "The district has a policy that allows the distribution of some fliers by email from organizations that want to publicize activities for students and families."
Why all the uproar over this particular event?
One vocal protester, Ashley Slovak (a Jewish woman married to a Christian), kept her daughter home that day, saying that school "should be a safe place. She would feel ostracized. She would feel like an outsider among her peers."
Really?
But how do committed Christian kids feel every day in school districts across America when their views are ridiculed, when they are called bigots and haters because they cannot endorse the latest politically correct trend, when carrying a Bible with them is considered a sign of fanaticism?
Young people—and I mean pre-teens—have said to me (with tears), "We are under so much pressure at school!"
A 15-year-old tweeted me and said, "Thank u for helping me walk through the valley of the shadow of death with your wisdom and teachings! ... There aren't many of my generation who agree with our beliefs so it's a mental battle everyday at my school. U help!"
No wonder it has become so controversial for a school district to announce a "Bring Your Bible to School Day." The Word of God has become toxic to our children's "education."
It was the exact opposite during the founding of this nation.
Hoy notes: "Shortly after establishment of our country, the Founding Fathers passed a federal law that required all existing and incoming states to establish schools that will teach 'religion, morality and knowledge.' Many of the Founding Fathers advocated that the Bible be the primary text in these schools."
Hoy explains, "As our country continued to grow, so did our schools. The American school system was the best in the world, and the Bible was central to its curriculum. In the early 1840s, an attempt was made in Philadelphia to establish a school that would be free of the Bible and any Christian influence. A legal battle ensued that would reach the highest court in the land."
What was the result of this legal battle? "In a unanimous decision, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the centrality of the Bible in U.S. schools," penning these remarkable words:
"Why may not the Bible, and especially the New Testament, without note or comment, be read and taught as a divine revelation in the (school)—its general precepts expounded ... and its glorious principles of morality inculcated? ... Where can the purest principles of morality be learned so clearly or so perfectly as from the New Testament? Where are benevolence, the love of truth, sobriety and industry so powerfully and irresistibly inculcated as in the Sacred Volume?" (U.S. Supreme Court,Vidal vs. Girard's Executor, 1844)
Today, instead of the Bible being read or taught in our schools, our young people are addicted to cellphones, not just texting mindlessly through the day but sharing the most vile gossip, the most hateful (and even murderous expressions), and engaging in sexting (sharing naked pictures of each other) as early as middle school.
Yet the same parents who let their kids run wild on social media and the Internet are concerned about Bibles being brought to school.
May God have mercy on America, and may Christian kids be encouraged to bring their Bibles to school every day, to talk about the Word and pray with one another, and to be bold and unashamed witnesses for Jesus.

There's been a lot of talk about the Shemitah. Some say nothing happened, yet $11 trillion in global stock market wealth was wiped out during the third quarter of 2015. (Reuters)
Is the $11 Trillion Market Loss Tied to the Shemitah Cycle?
Jennifer LeClaire is now sharing her reflections and revelations through Walking in the Spirit. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.
There's been a lot of talk about the Shemitah. Some say nothing happened, yet $11 trillion in global stock market wealth was wiped out during the third quarter of 2015.
Eleven trillion dollars. We checked in with Jonathan Cahn, author of The Mystery of the Shemitah, to get his response to the headlines that suggest nothing happened in September. Cahn told us every one of the last seven Shemitahs has seen a collapse in the financial or economic realm.
The Shemitah of 1966 saw what has been called the "forgotten crash."
The Shemitah of 1973 saw the collapse of the financial realm followed by a global recession.
The Shemitah of 1980 saw an economic recession followed by a stock market collapse.
The Shemitah of 1987 saw another stock market collapse, including the greatest single-day percentage crash in Wall Street history, known as "Black Monday."
The Shemitah of 1994 saw "the Great Bond Market Massacre," the greatest collapse up to that time of the bond market, a market twice as big as the stock market.
The Shemitah of 2001 saw 9/11 a stock market collapse and economic recession.
The Shemitah of 2009 saw a stock market collapse and the Great Recession.
Cahn says the predominant pattern and the central of the Shemitah's templates, one that appears several times in The Mystery of the Shemitah, is that of the Shemitah ending a rising stock market, reversing its momentum, and beginning a stock market collapse that takes place over the course of at least several months. And he says the Shemitah of 2015 was no different—the stock market peaked on May 19, then reversed its momentum, beginning a long-term descent.
"The general pattern is that the Shemitah's opening phase tends to be subtle; it is its phase part, and particularly its end that tends to be most dramatic. And this is exactly what happened in 2015," Cahn says. "As the Shemitah began approaching its last phase in the summer of 2015, the markets of the world began collapsing. In a short space of time, the Shemitah wiped away a stunning 40 percent of the Chinese stock market. Toward the end of August came "Black Monday" and stock market collapses all over the world. In two days, Wall Street had collapsed 888 points. August also the greatest intraday stock market collapse in Wall Street history."
Cahn says that the story that just came out over the newswire concerning the final numbers of the total damage that had been done in the third quarter of 2015—an almost mindboggling $11 trillion—was extremely significant since the third quarter of 2015 is basically equivalent to the Shemitah's final quarter, the same time when we might expect to see a greater manifestation of the dynamic.
"The results were that the amount of the world's wealth that had been wiped away was a colossal $11 trillion dollars," Cahn says. "This makes it the eighth collapse of the last eight Shemitahs in the last 50 years."
With all that in mind, what is Cahn's response to Fortune and Bloomberg News articles suggesting that current market conditions are similar to those prior to the Great Depression?
"In a good amount of the last seven Shemitahs, the market collapse continues past the Shemitah's end date, the Hebrew Elul 29, and into the subsequent autumn," Cahn says. "In some others, it doesn't. But when the collapse does continue into the autumn, the subsequent crashes can be of historic proportions."

In this episode, Rick shares the necessity of mobilization of the church. Most Christians do not even know what they are called to do. The church must learn to train and equip, not just preach and teach. God is looking for those who want to be a part of a volunteer army.

Sid Roth: The Harvest is Ripe in Israel
Many believers have been misled by a spirit of deception. They have been told that a Jew who follows the old covenant is accepted by God without Jesus—so why witness to them?
Paul gives the definitive answer in Acts 4:12, "There is no salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Most Jewish people have been deceived as well. From childhood we are told or it is implied that we cannot believe in Jesus and remain Jewish. We are told this by the Jewish community as well as the church.
Even a Jewish atheist has a desire to remain Jewish. Why? When we Jewish people were scattered to the four corners of the earth and eventually persecuted by our chosen nation of refuge as the Bible predicted in Deuteronomy 28, God had to devise a plan for those who survived.
God put His entire reputation on the line when He guaranteed that as long as there were waves, sun, moon and stars, there would be Jewish people on the earth (Jer. 31:35-36). The Jewish people lost their country, their temple and were murdered or had to flee for their lives for nearly 2,000 years. Any Jews who survived all of this should have assimilated into other religions long ago.
What is the secret of how God kept us as a distinct people? He put an instinct within us that says, "I was born a Jew and I will die a Jew." The majority of Jews—even a secular Jew who never sets foot in a synagogue—still identify as being a Jew.
So when a well-meaning Christian says, "You must convert to Christianity," what a Jew hears is: "You must stop being Jewish." This goes against our God-given instinct for Jewish survival.
The word "Christian" means "one of the Messiah's." By that definition, I am a Christian. But by Christian and Jewish usage it has come to mean "no longer Jewish." I cannot go against my God-given instinct. Instead, I refer to myself as a Jewish believer in Jesus as Messiah.
Why was it so important to God that the Jews remain a distinct people? We know the Jewish people were chosen to evangelize the Gentiles and did a great job at the first coming of Jesus. But the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. And God has chosen the Jewish people to evangelize the Gentiles just before Messiah's return.
When will this happen? At the "fullness of the Gentiles."
The 'Fullness of the Gentiles'
Every Gentile believer must understand the term, "the fullness of the Gentiles." As a new believer in Jesus, I was taught this referred to the time when all the Gentiles who were going to be saved had been saved and then God would bring about the salvation of Israel. But that never made sense to me because, even during the Tribulation, both Jews and Gentiles will be saved.
Then God showed me clearly the meaning of "the fullness of the Gentiles." As I studied the Bible, I found clues to know when this would take place. Luke 21:24 says, "They (the Jewish people) will fall by the edge of the sword and will be led away captive to all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." On June 7, 1967, Jerusalem was once again in Jewish possession! But God said we must look for one more thing.
In Romans 11:25-26, Paul writes, "For a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved ... ." The key to this mystery is found in two places in these verses. First, Israel would be judicially blinded to the gospel in part. In other words, a remnant of Israel would be saved, but most would be blinded until this judgment was over.
How can we know when the judgment of blindness is over? The obvious answer is when we see large numbers of Jewish people turning to Jesus. We see this happen in our recent outreaches in Israel! But why now and not in 1967?
The second part of the answer is found in the meaning of the Greek word for "fullness." It can be translated "maturity." In other words, when the Gentile believers are mature in their biblical understanding of the Jew, Israel and the supernatural, Jews will be saved in larger numbers until "all Israel will be saved" (Rom. 11:26). The call of the Gentile is to evangelize the Jew. Paul states in Romans 11:11, "I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid! But through their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles—to make them jealous."
I feel like a type of John the Baptist crying in the wilderness that the judicial judgment for the sin of spiritual blindness is over, and it's time for the Jew to come home—home to Israel and home to God.
Isaiah 40:2 says, "Speak kindly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been pardoned, that she has received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins."
No Longer Future but Now!
The spiritual blindness judgment is over! We Jewish people are now open to the gospel for the first time in almost 2,000 years. But Paul nails the problem in Romans 10:14, when he says: "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?"
Until the spiritual judgment ended, the best a Christian could do was have "Bless Israel" meetings without evangelism, give toward the return of Jews to Israel or supply humanitarian aid. And God knows we still need all of these.
But I want to shout it from the rooftops—the spiritual scales are off, the curse is over, and Jewish people are now open to the gospel! But even though we are ready to receive the Lord, our minds are still programmed with the lie that says, "You can't be Jewish and believe in Jesus." The only way to do a "mind bypass" around our intellectual arguments is through a demonstration of signs and wonders. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 1:22, "For Jews request a sign."
Last year, I led an evangelistic meeting in Jerusalem I called a "Lecture on the Supernatural." I promised that many who attended would be healed in their seats. The auditorium was jam-packed with 550 unsaved Jews. Many were instantly healed, and the majority stood up and prayed a prayer of salvation. This year I went back and held another outreach with 650 unsaved Jews in attendance. A total of 98 percent boldly stood up and prayed with me to receive Jesus as Messiah!
I have done these lectures all over the world, including Brazil, Germany, the United States and the former Soviet Union, with similar results. Why? Because I approach the Jew the biblical way, not with wisdom and clever words of men, but like Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:4-5, "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."
Just like Paul, when I demonstrate God's kingdom through signs and wonders, I earn the right to present the King! When people are instantly healed, it is as if the spiritual scales come off and they are open to the gospel.
The Law of Evangelism
As we reach out to the Jewish people with the Good News, we activate what I call the "Law of Evangelism." When God called the first Jew, Abraham, it was with a heart to reach the rest of the world—the Gentiles. When Jesus wanted to reach the whole world, He said He went only (or went first) to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Again, this was a spiritual seed to reach the whole world. When Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, wanted to reach his prize, he went to the Jew first (Rom. 1:16). "To the Jew first" is not just God's historical order for evangelism. It is His spiritual order, and it produces supernatural results.
My desire is to evangelize all people. When I go to the Jew first, I supernaturally reach more Gentiles than if I go to the Gentile first. One example is my evangelistic outreach in Kaifeng, China. I learned that Jewish silk traders had settled in Kaifeng centuries ago. Before leading an outreach, I went to Kaifeng to "spy out the land." I found the remnants of an ancient synagogue as well as a number of Chinese-Jewish descendants and a Jewish museum.
The director of the museum asked me why I wanted to bring a tour group and hold a meeting there. I asked him to open his Jewish Bible to Isaiah 49:12. It read in his Chinese language: "Surely these shall come from afar; Look! Those from the north and the west, and these from the land of Sinim." But in his Bible it did not say "Sinim." It said the real meaning of the word: "China."
Isaiah was saying that in the last days, Jews from China would return to Israel! How did Isaiah know there would be a nation of Israel in the last days? And even more amazing, how did he know there would be such a thing as Chinese Jews? The answer is simple. God dictated the prophecy, and Isaiah was being a good Jewish secretary!
I returned to Kaifeng with a group of believers, and we evangelized the Chinese Jews. I later learned that one of the Kaifeng Jews I led to the Lord immigrated to Israel just as Isaiah prophesied. My visit also triggered the Law of Evangelism. When I went to the Jew first in China, God spread my message about Jesus to that entire city. People actually recognized me on the streets from seeing me on local television. This would never have happened unless I went to the Jew first.
The Law of Evangelism is very important to God. Paul tells us in Romans 11:12, "Now if their (the Jewish people) transgression means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness mean?" The fullness, or maturity, of the Jews will culminate one day. According to Romans 11:15, "For if their (the Jewish people's) being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?" As the Jewish people are restored to the body of Messiah, they will restore literal resurrection-from-the-dead power to the church. Get ready to witness the release of creative miracles in large numbers not seen since Bible days!
Better yet, the salvation of the Jewish people will usher in the return of Jesus. In Matthew 23:39, Jesus said to the Jewish people, "For I tell you, you shall not see Me again until you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.'"
The restoration of the Jewish people to the body of Messiah will be the catalyst to release the greatest Gentile revival in history. The prophet Amos predicted this. He said that when the tabernacle of David is restored, it would usher in such a great Gentile revival that there would be more fruit than we had laborers to harvest it. What is the tabernacle of David? The word for "tabernacle" in Hebrew means "house" or "family."
Who is the family of David? The Jewish people! When the Jewish people are restored to God, this is what will happen according to Amos 9:13: "Indeed, the days are coming, says the Lord, when the plowman will overtake the one who is reaping, and the treader of grapes the ones who is sowing the seed ... ." And what will be the result of the initial Jewish harvest? God promises in Isaiah 27:6, "Israel shall blossom and bud and shall fill the whole world with fruit."
It is past time for the "fullness of the Gentiles." It is the Gentile Christians' finest hour. I appeal to you as Mordecai appealed to Esther: "For if you remain silent at this time, protection and deliverance for the Jews will be ordained from some other place, but you and your father's house shall be destroyed. And who knows if you may have attained royal position for such a time as this?" (Esth. 4:14).
The Jewish Express
A friend of mine, Penny Lea, was speaking at a pro-life meeting when she was approached by an elderly German man. He told her about an event that happened when he was a youth in Germany that continued to haunt him. As a child, he would attend church with his family every Sunday. During worship, a train would pass by on the tracks next to the church. As the church members sang, they could hear people on the trains shouting, crying and wailing. These were Jewish people jammed into cattle cars being taken to the gas chambers to be murdered. When the cries became too objectionable and loud, the pastor said, "Sing a little louder!" The young boy was now an elderly man, but the screams were with him every night.
Now I want to tell you about another train. It is called the "Jewish Express." It will stop in cities all over the world. Why? Because the Jewish people were scattered to the four corners of the earth. Jews are lining up at the "train stations." They board the train by receiving Jesus as Messiah. The Jewish people waiting to board are increasing, but few are telling them about Jesus. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
The Jewish person God has placed in your life is not an accident. You are the one who has that Jewish friend or former classmate. You are the one who knows a Jewish doctor, lawyer, dentist or merchant. You are the one chosen by God to evangelize them.
You may feel like you are not equipped to witness to a Jew. This is why I wrote a booklet I want to give you as a gift on how to reach the Jewish people. I draw on my more than 40 years of experience in Jewish evangelism, and now I want to pour it into you. Please visit sidroth.org/free to get your free copy of The Mystery Law of Evangelism Revealed.
Israel Ablaze for Jesus
I have a vision. I see Israel ablaze for Jesus! I see people going to Israel not just for tours, but to get under the 24/7 cloud of glory. I see many new Jewish believers boarding the Jewish Express train as modern-day Paul the apostles. I see Orthodox rabbis boarding who will be the greatest Bible teachers since Jesus. I see Jewish businessmen boarding the train who will make Christianity the head and not the tail. I see Jewish Hollywood movie stars, producers and directors who will use the entertainment industry to evangelize the world. Can't you hear the whistle blowing?
The devil knows his time is short. The world is quickly turning anti-Jewish and anti-Israel. Will you "sing a little louder?" Or will you be like Queen Esther and boldly stand up for the Jewish people?
You have been called to the kingdom for such a time as this. Esther (the church), as you rise up to evangelize the Jew, no matter how dark the world gets, the glory of God and the blessings of Abraham will overtake you. Those who give to Jewish humanitarian causes and participate in "Bless Israel" meetings have found this to be true. But if God will bless you for this according to Genesis 12:3, how much more will He bless you for Jewish evangelism at the fullness of the Gentiles?
The only thing we take to heaven is souls! It's time to be "mature" and enter the great Jewish harvest that will catapult us into the greatest Gentile harvest in history!
"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you" (Is. 60:1-2).

JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israel is on high alert due to growing violence in Jerusalem and surrounding areas. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has even declared the Temple Mount off limits to Knesset members.
Netanyahu warned his country that the flames of radical Islam burning throughout the Middle East are also reaching Israel.
"We are in the midst of a wave of terrorism. Terrorists that have been incited and who are riven with hate are trying to attack our people – babies, children, men and women, civilians and soldiers," Netanyahu told the nation.
In just two days, Palestinians carried out 10 stabbing attacks in Jerusalem and other cities in Israel and the disputed territories, including two at the Lion's Gate in Jerusalem's Old City.
Rock-throwing and fire-bombing cars are regular occurrences as well as rioters clashing with Israeli soldiers.
Netanyahu and other government ministers went on live television to calm anxiety.
"Israelis are acting with bravery, composure and determination to neutralize and eliminate the terrorists. This requires extraordinary courage and resourcefulness and we are proud to be part of a country that has such citizens," he said.
Netanyahu blames Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and the Islamic Movement in Israel.
He also said the Islamic Movement "is igniting the ground with lies regarding our policy on the Temple Mount."
Earlier, Netanyahu declared the Temple Mount off limits to Knesset members, including Arab MKs, in an effort to calm the situation.
Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat called on Israelis with gun permits to carry their weapons. Some schools went on strike because parents are afraid to send their children to school.
Many are asking if this violence could be a third intifada Palestinian uprising. But Palestinian expert Pinchas Inbari, a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, told CBN News it doesn't matter what it's called.
"They are throwing stones, they are killing, they are shooting, they are stabbing so they are not quiet," he said. "So whether it is an intifada or not is not important."
Inbari says overall, Israel wants to deal with troublemakers and not create friction with the entire Palestinian population.
1 He who [a]dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!
3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.
8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.
11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.
14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.

Thousands of New Yorker's lined the street for Chick-fil-A's fried chicken sandwiches and waffles fries this weekend.
The restaurant opened in the Big Apple on Saturday, and some customers camped out overnight to be the first in line to make an order.
But not everyone shared their enthusiasm.
Vegan, gay, and transgender rights activist staged a demonstration to protest the chain for its Christian values and its belief in traditional marriage.
"We are aware of the demonstrations," Chick-fil-A spokeswoman Carrie Kurlander said. "Grand opening day activities will continue as planned. We are excited about serving customers great food with remarkable service."
Chick-fil-A's New York location is its largest restaurant to date.
