5 Things Every Married Man Should Do Around Single Women by BRYAN VAN SLYKE

5 Things Every Married Man Should Do Around Single Women

A wise man once told me that when I find myself around single women, especially when I find them attractive or interesting, I should mention my wife and family early in the conversation. I have found this advice to be very useful on many occasions.
Fellow husbands, I have found the above advice and the other tips at the bottom to be essential in keeping my marriage healthy and strong. I want my marriage to be strong and healthy, and so should you! In fact, it’s one of the biggest responsibilities in your marriage.
So let’s dig deeper into this subject. Where are some common places that you might run into this scenario? For many of you, it could easily happen at work. You could be starting a new job and find yourself around a lot of nice, new women. When this happens, you have to make the choice to embrace their attention or extinguish it in a friendly way by mentioning your beautiful wife and family.
For some of you, you have been working around the same women for some time. You might have chosen many times to engage in flirty conversation or to go out with co-workers after work. If this is you and your wife is at home waiting for you, then it’s time to step back and assess your position as the husband and leader. Take the necessary steps to make your relationship with your wife the most important one again and don’t forget it. Lead gentlemen, lead!
Even though those were only a couple of quick examples, I know there are a few of you out there that need to step up your role as a husband. Those examples don’t apply to you? Then consider who you know and talk to at your gym; the grocery store; the local hang out, or wherever. These “simple” places could produce difficult relationships that will harm your relationship and love with your wife. Man up and do what needs to be done for your marriage!
Now that I have your attention, here are 5 things every married man should do around single women:
1. Keep your ring on. There are very few exceptions for when that ring needs to be off. Operating heavy machinery, swimming in shark-infested waters, etc. If you are about to enter a situation that makes you look at your ring and consider if you need it on or not, LEAVE! RUN! GET AWAY FROM THERE! Seriously, get out of that situation; your vows, marriage, children and more depend on those important decisions (Read Luke 16:10 ESV).
2. Hang up pictures of your wife at work. A married man in this position would be wise to pick out a couple of great and fun photos of he and his wife and keep them displayed at his office or place of work. Pick a time that was fun for two reasons: it will remind you why you love her so much, and it will make for a great conversation tool when others, especially women, ask about it. Update the image as needed to keep the people around you knowing your relationship is continuing to grow. Get that picture up this week and extinguish those flames (Read Psalm 119:37 ESV).
3. Keep eye contact simple and short. Don’t read this the wrong way; I’m not saying to be rude. I’m saying to be careful where your eyes travel and how long they travel for when you are in the presence of an attractive single woman. You know that once you engage in the first serious look you have signed the dotted line for more eye trouble.Read more about that “first look” here. Keep it short, keep it decisive and move on. Get back to that image posted at your desk. Go! (Read Matthew 5:28, KJV)
4. Keep conversation general and professional. If you work around single women, there is no question that conversation will come up. It’s up to you on how you decide to speak with her. You can choose to keep it short and general, you can choose to keep it professional or you can choose to keep it off of those and allow it go places it shouldn’t. Be polite, but very intentional in your conversations. If needed, again, always be ready to bring up something about your wife or family. Pull the pin, aim and distinguish. Safety first (Read Romans 6:13, ESV).
5. Talk about your wife and family often. Did I mention anything about talking about your wife in conversation yet? I believe I did, but this last point brings the idea to a firm home. The single women you engage with each day, if you have to, should be no match to your wife and family. Your family should be your first priority wherever you are and with whomever you encounter each day. Yes, each and every day. Keep it short, keep it simple and mention your beautiful wife. Now pat yourself on the back and keep it up (Read Ephesians 5:25-33, ESV).
Important Note: No matter what you have done with your current relationships with single women, these steps can and should be started at anytime. Your wife’s feelings are and will always be more important then the woman you need to take these steps with. Get on it!
I challenge you to take these bold steps for you, your marriage and your family. Again, it’s your responsibility to LEAD!

In Judaism, life is valued above all else. Netanyahu recently
stated: "If you want to understand the moral divide that
separates Israel from its enemies, just listen to Nasrallah
[of Hezbollah], He said that Iran and Hezbollah love death
and Israel loves life. And that's why, he said, Iran and
Hezbollah will win and Israel will lose."

Well, he's right about the first point. They do glorify death,
and we do sanctify life. But he's dead wrong on the
second point. It's precisely because we love life that
Israel shall win."

The Tide Is Turning - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

The Tide Is Turning
March 20, 2014
Now Think On This
by Steve Martin

“In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify Him. For He will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord.” Isaiah 59:19, New Living Translation

“‘Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved?" The hand of God has turned the tide!  The hand of God is raised in victory! The hand of God has turned the tide!"  Psalm 118:15-16 THE MESSAGE

I can sense it in my spirit. The tide is turning. The Lord God of Israel has said, “Enough is enough”, and He is turning the tide in the heavenly realm, and thus in the earth.

For decades the wicked have risen up, proclaiming their agenda, pushing their immoral acts, pressing down on the godly standards of the Judeo/Christian foundation. They have removed the stones of the righteous, replacing them with heretical lies and godless ways.

In my spirit I can hear the Lord say, “Now it is MY time. It is MY time to raise up the standard and show Myself strong. It is MY time to let the earth know that the King of kings and the Lord of lords is in full control. It is not the heathen. It is not the oppressor. It is not the tormentors who think they rule. MY Kingdom will be established, even as I have spoken in My Word, and recorded by My prophets, centuries ago.

It will be My Word that will set the course of the nations. Even as man and the rulers of the nations think that they are moving mountains, they are but hills in My sight, and they themselves will be moved.

I am raising up a generation of young people who will look to their fathers and mothers for godly direction, for wisdom in how to advance, for righteous counsel in what they are being called to do. It is I, the Living God of Israel, Who will establish My purposes, My plans.

Those who have laughed at My people and at My words will not stand. They will see the right hand of God move, and remove, and build up the righteous foundations again.

The tide is turning. Because I am the Creator of the oceans and the mountains, and because they serve Me, I will use them in the natural as a forerunner of what I am doing in the spiritual."

Prophetic Word - March 11, 2014 from Jeremy Lopez

Prophetic Word
March 11, 2014
Jeremy Lopez - Identity Network

First of all I want to tell you that you are such a blessing to the Body of Christ. I don’t have to even know you completely in the natural to know that so many people’s lives you are going to touch. You are such a light and a beacon to so many people and you are going to lead them with good direction and guidance and instruction. I really felt that in my spirit and I wanted to share that with you. It is good sometimes that we encourage and exhort one another but especially knowing that God shared that with us to tell someone else.

I want to thank you for being who you are in the Body of Christ. You are a big, big blessing.

Here is one thing the Lord spoke into my spirit for you. As I prayed earlier to ask the Lord what He wanted to say to you.

My son I want you to know today that there is going to be a new season approaching you, a new atmosphere, a new environment, one that is going to be different for you. It is not the fact there will be a time bomb effect exploding. It will be a little bit here, a little bit there. Line upon line, precept upon precept, where something is going to be radically changed within your life.

There is such a drive in you, a call in you to want to touch lives and do things for the Kingdom of God. Also remember that there is such a financial ability about to come upon you. It is almost as if there are shackles about to come off of you because you have been faithful to the Kingdom of God, even faithful in small things, you’ve been faithful in small areas.

This is a season where I will make you faithful and ruler over many things. There is a new anointing of authority coming upon you that is going to begin to give you the strength to let your yeses be yeses and your nos be nos.  To begin to speak the word of the Lord and speak the promises of God. And speak and give your word, and when you give your word people are going to look at you and say, “Now that’s a man who follows through with his word. Whatever he tells you he will do, you know he is going to follow through with it.”

Son, that is who you are. You are a man of wisdom and integrity. And in this season you are going to begin to see life, and light to begin to come out of you. The light is going to shine in dark places for people to be able to see and have hope. It is Christ in you the Hope of Glory. And as I work in you and through you I am opening up this season a treasure chest within your earthen vessel, within your belly and I am going to speak treasure to come out of you. I am going to speak wisdom and principles and impartations to come out of you.

But I also am going to release the rivers inside of your belly of creativity. You have got a vast array of creativity. I see light upon light, almost as if you look through a prism, when you shine a light through it you have different colors. That is how it is inside of your belly. It is a prism of many different colors waiting to be released and launched out. God says the light in Me is going to be the light in you. I am going to shine bright through you, and the brilliance and the radiance of My glory is going to shine through you.

I have called you to be such a leader, such a man of integrity in this hour. Be the man with the plan. Always find yourself ready in season and out of season. And I am going to begin to transform and change lives around you. But I also am going to start even with your own natural family. Even those around you that are blood kin to you. I am going to change those you haven’t even seen in a long time, that are in your family. You are going to begin to see transformation take place like never before.

In this season I have given you a strong anointing. You have an anointing to start something. It is time to rev your engine. It is time to put your key into the ignition and start it and crank it up. The car won’t go unless you crank it up. It is the season you have the keys, you hold the keys to begin to unlock, to loose and to turn on. You must understand that you first and foremost must first rev your own engine before you can rev the engines in lives of other people. You must get yourself in the place to jump start yourself. Be motivated and encouraged in My strength and My glory and My kingdom to where everything you do in your life will begin to be with top quality.

This is a season for you to understand that you are going to begin to touch. Here is what the Lord began to put in my spirit – I heard the name Tom or Thomas. This is going to be in the next year to two years, you are going to come across a Tom, or a Tommy or a Thomas – that is how the Lord put it to me, because he actually goes by three different names to different people in his life. You are going to run across a Tom, Tommy or Thomas, and when you do you, remember this word, for I am going to give you a word of prophecy for him, in the sense of a word of encouragement, a word that is going to begin to speak into his life and it will begin to help transform his life.

Get ready son for I see different places with your face on it. I am going to cause your face to be made known. In fact I will confirm it with you, that you are going to be in a conversation within the next six to 12 months, and when you are, this person to whom you are talking to will say, “Hey, you know what, I totally get it. I am very good with faces and not names. That is actually going to be a confirmation to let you know that your face is going to be made known among people that you talk to everyday. Everyday people you come across will remember your face. And people will say, “You must have a twin, because your face looks so familiar to me.”

These are going to be signs to you to let you know that I am working in you and through you and that people will remember your face. As they remember your face they are also going to remember how you touched their lives, whether it is in passing conversation, whether it is a joke, whether it is laughing, or whatever you give to them is going to be part of My kingdom being stretched in you to begin to plow the ground of their heart, to begin to let them know there is hope and a bright future for them as well says the Lord.

Wow.

Report: Netanyahu Ordered IDF to Prepare for Iran Strike - Israel Today

Report: Netanyahu Ordered IDF to Prepare for Iran Strike

Wednesday, March 19, 2014 |  Israel Today Staff
The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly maintained massive military funding for a possible strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities despite ongoing negotiations between Western powers and the Islamic Republic.
Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz reported that Knesset members taking part in committee hearings in January and February were informed that the 2014 national budget still includes 10 billion shekels ($2.89 billions USD) for preparations for a long-range strike on Iran.
A number of Knesset members who spoke to the newspaper on condition of anonymity said army officials were asked if the large expenditure was justified in light of negotiations taking place between Iran and the West to resolve the nuclear issue. The IDF representatives simply answered that these were their orders.
While the head of the UN nuclear agency said earlier this month that Iran had done about half of what it promised in an interim nuclear deal with the West, US Secretary of State John Kerry told Congress that Tehran still has some difficult decisions ahead of it in order to convince the world that it has abandoned the quest for atomic weapons.
Renewed talks in Vienna this week cast doubt on whether or not Kerry’s conditions would be met. During the gathering, Iranian officials firmly rejected demands that they scrap or radically alter the Arak heavy water reactor, which Western officials argue could be used to produce weapons-grade plutonium.
Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon issued a report lamenting that new Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has not turned out to be the great reformer that Western leaders hoped and proclaimed his as. Ban noted that human rights abuses remain as rampant in Iran today as during the tenure of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

7 Things That Prove God Is Real by LEE GRADY, CHARISMA MAGAZINE

There indeed are answers for atheists' arguments
against the existence of God. (iStock photo)

7 Things That Prove God Is Real

When I was a journalist in my 20s, I needed to verify a fact about atheism. This was before the Internet age, so I phoned the Texas headquarters of American Atheists. Madalyn Murray O’Hair, the mother of modern atheism in this country, answered my call. Apparently she had a very small staff!
Her voice was gruff, and she sounded angry and cynical, even before I identified myself as a Christian. She answered my question and I hung up. Ever since then, I’ve felt intense sadness for people who deny the existence of God. Explaining her beliefs, O’Hair once said, “There is no God. There’s no heaven. There’s no hell. There are no angels. When you die, you go in the ground; the worms eat you.” What a sad way to view life!
I’m sure Mrs. O’Hair would be upset about the new Christian film God’s Not Dead, which opens in theaters this Friday. The film features Kevin Sorbo (who played in the 1990s TV show Hercules) as an atheist college professor who tries to force a Christian student (Shane Harper) to rethink his beliefs. The film releases at a time when atheism is growing in this country.
I was never on the debate team in high school, so I’m not the best guy to take on evolutionist Richard Dawkins or comedian/atheist Bill Maher in a televised argument. Still, my faith in God is certainly not shaken when I hear these guys whining about how stupid or weak Christians are. They have a constitutional right to view life negatively. But if I had a chance to give them my reasons for believing in God, I would list these:
1. Babies. I watched my wife give birth to our four daughters, and last month I visited my new grandson. I’ve stared at little Hananiah’s cute face and tiny fingers—and the cleft in his chin that resembles mine. How can anyone deny the reality of God when they see a baby? The amount of information encrypted in one cell in the human body is equal to that of 1,000 books. The total amount of information stored in your DNA is 40 times more than that of the largest set of encyclopedias in the world. King David felt this sense of awe when he wrote, “You wove me in my mother’s womb. ... I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Ps. 139:13, 14, NASB). Life is truly a miracle!
2. Thunderstorms. I love to sit on my back porch in Florida and listen to the rumbling of thunder. It reminds me of God’s majesty and power. The apostle Paul said creation was the best evidence of God’s existence. He wrote, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen” (Rom. 1:20). Nature is actually full of quantifiable miracles. Just consider the fact that the earth is the perfect distance from the sun to support life. If we were any farther away from the sun, we would freeze; if we were even slightly closer to it, we would burn up. It’s obvious God created this home for us!
3. Flowers. There are more than 400,000 species of flowers in the world, and most of them are not edible. Their job is to simply make the world beautiful. Did they just haphazardly evolve over time, or did a loving God create each individual shape and color scheme for our enjoyment? People who choose to deny God don’t spend enough time looking at tulips, snapdragons, orchids, lilies, lotuses or magnolias. This is why it’s really important to stop and smell the roses!
4. The Bible. Paul wrote that “all Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Tim. 3:16). The Bible itself is proof of God’s existence because He used 40 unrelated people over a period of 2,000 years to write His unique love letter to us. There is nothing like the Bible because it carries the same consistent message throughout all of its 66 different books. Atheists can laugh at this idea, but those who have read the Scriptures and experienced God through its pages know why it is the best-selling and most-translated book in all of history. (Fact: 100 million copies of the Bible are sold every year. Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion has sold 2 million.)
5. The global spread of Christianity. Over the centuries, the gospel message has been vilified and ridiculed. Roman rulers threw first-century Christians to the lions, and 20th-century dictators sent believers to prison camps. It is estimated that 70 million Christians have been martyred since the church began—and 40 million of those were in the 20th century. Yet today Christianity has more adherents than any religion, and numbers are growing in many parts of the world. Our faith is spreading because it is the truth—and history shows that when this truth is mocked and scorned, it actually spreads faster!
6. Jesus. The most amazing thing about God is not that He exists, but that He loved us so much He was willing to send His Son to earth to save us from ourselves. Jesus was with the Father from the time of creation, and His arrival was predicted numerous times in Old Testament prophecy. Finally He interrupted history and came to live among us. His crucifixion is historical fact, and His resurrection was verified by hundreds of witnesses. The man who perhaps knew Jesus best—the apostle John—saw the risen Christ and touched His nail-pierced hands. He wrote, “What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you” (1 John 1:3). Jesus is not an illusive fairy tale. He is the living, breathing, touchable Son of God.
7. My personal friendship with God. Atheists may not be convinced that God exists after listening to a storm, smelling a hibiscus or reading the Bible. When I am asked to defend my faith, I don’t start an intellectual argument. I have to go back to the words of Paul in 2 Timothy 1:12: “I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed.”
There are many reasons I am convinced God is real (the existence of coffee alone proves that He loves me!), but the best evidence is how He forgave me, changed me and put unexplainable joy in my heart. And I can prove that.
